My eyes opened slowly, but promptly flickered shut as the harsh light impaled them. I groaned and sat up. My body felt lean, smooth, but still sluggish. I groaned and rested a hand on my head, feeling the soft hair that was on top of it. I sighed and opened my eyes slowly. I was in a forest of some sort with tall, soft green grass. Birds sang around me merrily, as though I hadn't just been bashed over the head with a metal pipe. Memories of last night struck me and I felt my skin crawl as the thought of fleeing that tattered house, food steps heavy behind me, then the door not budging and- my tail curled against me and I cringed. It made my stomach churn. I sat still for a moment and felt my tail brush my arm. It was an odd- wait. I whipped my head around and stared wide-eyed at the appendage connected to my rump and that's when I saw it. My whole body was coated in green and white-ish fur and my legs were awkwardly formed, looking more like a dogs. I screamed and stared at my hands. I felt light headed as instead of the five fingered appendage I expected, I was greeted with two soft looking paws. Another shriek ripped from my chest and I flailed back. What had happened last night?! And why was I a...a.....some sort of animal?!?
