The Story of Her Bow
Sakinah is the the sweetest, most understanding equid EVER. Some say the tear drop like markings on her face are a blessed sign of her empathy. DreamCatcher Ranch has had several horse that work with the special case, troubled children that come to trade barn chores for lessons, but none are as beloved as her. With endless hours of patience, Saki sits and listens to the kids spill their problems, secrets, or lets them just love on her in silence, sometimes offering her warm neck to cry against. They enjoy brushing her for hours, often adding ribbons to her tail. Teal is the main stable color of DreamCatcher Ranch, so they always give her a teal bow when one of the kids take her to shows.
There is a certain girl, Alexis, that seems to have bonded with the affectionate jenny more than the others. Alexis came from a broken home; her mom was a victim of abuse who is barely able to take care of herself, and an evil step-dad. Alexis had frequent moments of strong anxiety due to her home situation. Once she is with Sakinah, they all began to fade away though. The mare makes her feel safe, and loved; the only true friend the girl has. Alexis and Saki have worked hard to enter their first open show together, and the young girl loving ties beautiful ribbons to the jenny, making her stand out in the crowd. To Alexis, no horse could be more beautiful than her Sakinah, and she's out to prove it to the world.
