Dee is very independent. She believes that no one has to commit to the gender conformities of society, and she thinks all genders should break away from these roles. She never went through the boy crazy phase, but instead spent her days hanging out with a few of her friends, coming up with ideas of their futures. They all agreed that one day, they would be biologists, studying anatomy instead of being Trophy Wives.

This is because Dee believes that 1 is the strongest number. 1 is independent and brave, not afraid to show itself as a simple, plain line. She believes that independence is the root of all brave women and men, because it takes a great amount of bravery to be alone. Yes, she loves having friends, but she doesn't depend on them. 1 depends on nothing. 1 is alone and at the very edge of either imaginary or negative numbers. 1 is a perfect balance of negative, neutral, and positive. 1 is beautiful in every way, and it's everything Dee can do to live up to the singular number 1.
