If you aren't an artist or a mod, you can buy a custom with points. You can earn points by having artists award you them. If your form was obviously well-worked on, but you don't win, the artist will award points to you. You can earn a max of 5 points at a time every competition, depending on how many points the artist decides to give you. If you earn a certain number of points, you can have an artist of your choosing create a custom for you with specific edits. The minimum is 20 points for a custom.

20 points will get you:
a custom Xalo with 1 common edit of your choosing.
30 points will get you:
a custom Xalo with 2-3 common edits of your choosing.
40 points will get you:
a Xalo with a common and an uncommon edit of your choosing.
50 points will get you:
a Xalo with 2 uncommon edits of your choosing.
60 points will get you:
a Xalo with a rare edit of your choosing.

Very rare edits will not be available for customs, as they will be used for special events in the species, like for 100 adopt marks in the species.
