nothing. Bella hates the bugs, how it's too hot, pretty much everything about summer is to dislike- she doesn't even like water.

Abarona loves the sea air whenever she goes to the beach in the summer, and there's a lot of cheap popsicles and ice cream! She adores all the animals that are running about in the summer, and she really likes to visit zoos and museums. She collects shells at the beach and uses them in necklaces, bracelets, and other crafts. She keeps scrapbooks to help her remember the summer. In the summer, she loves the days that are warm but breezy, and the nights when the fireflies are out and the stars are shining. She keeps caterpillars in the summer, nursing them until they grow into a butterfly, and then sets them free. Abarona spends a lot of time with her friends in the summer, as most of their obligations are in the fall, winter, and spring. She gives out a lot of the necklaces and bracelets she makes, whether they're just made with beads, made with shells, or made with other things, like rocks or feathers. She observes birds and other summertime creatures, sketching them to the best of her ability and snapping photographs of them. Her life in the summer centers around variety, but her autumn life is mainly just filled with staying warm and keeping up with current events- not a lot of time for anything else! That being said, what Rona misses the most when summer ends is the opportunity to be with her friends, all the time. She's okay with being cold, or with running out of shells, or with ice cream being more expensive and less varied than it was in the summer. But she always wishes that she could see more of her favorite people, no matter what season it is. (294 words)

What do they miss about summer once fall rolls around?

Summer isn't Emerson's favorite season, by any means, but
even still there are things she misses about Summer when
Autumn rolls around. She misses the cool summer breeze.
She misses eating Popsicles with her friends on a hot day.
But most of all, she misses her Summer cottage.

Every Summer since Emerson was born, her family would
spend most of the Summer at a cottage in a small town by
the ocean. The little town is by no means a tourist town,
but Emerson had always loved to see the cars speeding by
and those out on vacation asking for directions to bigger
cities. She loved making friends with the townspeople and
spending all day in the sun. There was nothing else she loved
or looked forward to more than visiting this little town. But
this Summer was the last time that her family would be going.

Emerson's mother had always been susceptible to sickness,
and on the last dregs of vacation this year she got so sick that
she could hardly breathe. She was rushed to the hospital
almost immediately, and the family soon returned home where
Emerson's mother would have to stay until her condition got
better.

Although Emerson is sad that she may not get to return to the
cottage next year, she'd never leave her mother's side while in
this condition. She wishes that there was something more that
she could do to help her, but she knows that everyone is doing
what they can to keep her mother stable.
