These pictures are from both private property and state woods near Shunk, PA. (Fun fact: you can actually take a horse and see where I took some of these pictures!) The woods is Shunk's favorite place in the world. There's something magical about being away from people, and from being in a place where you can't hear the sounds of a single car driving by. Everything about the woods makes Shunk happy. There is a creek that runs through the woods, right next to a well-trodden path. The creek is home to an assortment of tiny creatures, and the occasional larger fish. Shunk loves going swimming in the creek, and has two swimming holes that he absolutely loves. Often, Shunk will go out for morning walks and admire the stunning world that is the bed of leaves below a canopy of branches. Sometimes, he'll see a deer or a black bear. The peace and quiet of nature that Shunk finds here is truly amazing. To Shunk, the most amazing thing about the woods is that it can change so drastically in a span of feet but it can remain so beautiful and serene.

He doesn't sleep much, so he likes his strolls. This place happened to be his favorite when accidentally getting lost. He stumbled upon it and started returning every night after.
