Pet: Alfie the Albino Rat

Steven knew he wanted to be a pediatrician from a young age. While he was growing up, his mother identified his issues, taking him to a pediatrician. Instead of running vigorous testing without Steven's consent, the doctor asked permission before trying anything new. It was found that Steven had a synesthesia which caused him to see colors when others spoke according to their emotion. For example, an angry kalon's words look yellow to him. Steven once told his teacher that she sounded maroon, which earned him a detention because she didn't know that maroon meant dedicated. Anyway, the pleasant experience with his childhood pediatrician made up Steven's mind. He never did get along with adults anyways.

During his teenage years, things in the classroom would go missing, only to turn up in Steven's backpack or on the shelves in his room. He was then diagnosed as a kleptomaniac, which scarred his academic record of straight A's and B's. Because of his kleptomania, he was almost not accepted into Med School. Thankfully, Steven got in, and worked hard in his studies. During is training, he got to work with young kids and it was found that he had a natural gift for talking and calming them. Being around kids also helped Steven's Agoraphobia, and if he is with a small child he is much more calm in large, open spaces then without one. His kleptomania has also noticeably diminished now that he is calmer.

It took 10 years, but due to his hard work, Steven was able to graduate med school early. He loves his job, and will work overtime whenever asked. When with kids, he is friendly and open, always having a few healthy sweets tucked away for them if they were good. Parents, not so much. His usual unimpressed, blunt personality shines there, and he tries to keep those conversations short and to the point.

One day, a child gave Steven a gift in an attempt to express her gratitude at his work with her. It was a small albino rat. Her brother bred rats as feeders for his pet snake, but the child had asked if she could keep this one because it was born with three legs. She then explained that she wanted to give him to Steven because she loved visiting his office, and always looked forward to her checkups. She wanted him to have it as a way to remember her after she grew too old to be his patient. Steven loved the rat, naming him Alfie. He takes care of Alfie every day, and Alfie is one of his closest friends.

Their job as a doctor (how and why they do it): Firstly, let's let it be known that Douglas has spiraled into oblivion as a morbid soul. It was never originally like this, however, this doctor had a positive outlook when he first started out. Over time, with more and more Kalon deaths he's seen and he couldn't help them, he's grown restless and anxious of whether or not he's doing the right thing, if he'll even do his job. Douglas blames himself often whenever his patient ends up dying or being seriously injured or paralyzed. Anyways, this Kalon is a surgeon. Usually he specializes in cancers and tumors, so it's fitting that he feels like a failure. Many are beyond his care and he accepts it as it is, though he tries as hard as he can.

Douglas decided he wanted to be in medicine whenever he saw decaying corpses or any cell structures. It fascinated him; the look of the forms were captivating. Sometimes he observed a skeleton he found, trying to figure out what it was. In classes he was always the smart one kit in the science class; the one everyone knew had the answers to the problems. When he was younger, Douglas often pondered why certain diseases weren't cured yet. He felt obligated to figure out why they weren't.

Doctor Feelgood works at a cancer treatment hospital and he's usually the main doctor of his patients. Aided with a few nurses, security guards, and lesser doctors, he carries out his melancholy duties as a doctor.

Personality: Obviously this Kalon doesn't have the best self-esteem or self-worth. He blames himself for other Kalons' sadness and hurt. Often he wonders why he can't treat them and cure them of all the suffering, but he must remember to calm down when it comes to being a doctor and do the best he can.

Writing: You may be wondering what the origins of his nickname, "Doctor Feelgood", are. Douglas didn't nickname himself this. He's not the type to care what he's called by. Once he had a cancer patient, a little kit that was losing fur and deteriorating. All hope was lost and Douglas wasn't sure of what to do. He was gathering up deaths at this point and it was weighing down heavily on his shoulders. Just when he was going to give up after a few more treatments, he saw a bit of fur growth again. Astonished by this, he repeated the treatments and soon enough the fur was back and the cancer was contained and removed. Douglas saw a bit of himself in this little Kalon, and the day she left the hospital, she hugged him and waved him goodbye. Returning to the room to clean up for the next patient, he noticed a little paper with crayons laying lazily across the table. Smiling a bit, he noticed the name was "Doctor Feelgood" and it pictured him and the nurses in a flower field. Ever since that day, his name tag read that.

He works under the police departments authority and inspects deceased that come in from current cases that have yet to be solved. His reasoning for becoming a coroner was at a young age he was madly obsessed with detective shows. Mostly ones that involved solving how someone died under mysterious causes.
