Mairten is a cool kind of guy, with a relaxed personality and a want to help everybody. He loves to listen to music and draw, zoning out into a trance-like state as he does what he loves- making art. Now, in no way is he out of tune with the world- he will respond to words, questions and conversations all the same, but inside, he feels himself at peace. His voice is usually quiet, as he feels speaking too loudly could throw his inner balance off.
He often talks quietly with a group of friends, sometimes getting philosophical. He finds sunsets, pastels, stars and gentle nights to be aesthetically pleasing. His favorite animal is a house cat- the Savannah breed to be exact. He also likes foxes and wolves, but cats are his definite favorite. He also likes birds, owls most of all, and has a deep respect for the strength of these night hunters. His drawings often feature at least one, if not more, of these animals.
He finds himself in one of three places typically- at school, home, or at the nearby park. All of these places provide opportunities to sketch, though being at home is the best place. Mair' likes to sketch people as he sees them- the park is a good place to do this, as is school, but school generally doesn't have much of a good age range, so when he's feeling a bit bored of drawing teens, he heads off to the ark to see others of all race and age walk by. He sometimes gives his drawings to the people he sketched, though not always. His style is very cartoonish.
When not drawing, or listening to music, Mairten is usually sleeping, or eating- or visiting with friends. He loves tasting new foods, and finds he likes seafood very much- though too much can give him heartburn! His favorite food is sushi- especially California Rolls. He finds that the soft avocado and crunchy carrot, alongside the fish, really makes it come together. His second favorite is Shashimi. He has a liking for chips, specifically spicy ones- like Flaming Hot Cheetos and Dynamite Doritos. His favorite sweet is mint ice cream.
Mair's biggest flaw, really, is his sluggishness. He often finds himself slow, relaxed, and sleepy throughout every day. His mind just isnt given enough to focus on, when his imagination entertains him so much more. He finds himself daydreaming more often than not. Some would call him lazy- and that isn't true. Mairten is a very hard worker- he just finds himself finished, and then unoccupied. Drawing- his way of stimulating himself, among other things- is one of the very few things that make him feel awake. He sleeps a lot, usually eight to ten hours each night, as well as usually taking an hour or two long nap after school.
