Eli lives on a small island off the cost of Italy
Common knowledge about him wrote:All anyone really knows about Him is He came from nowhere. He just showed up, set up a stand at the local framers market and faded into the crowd. He sells fresh Italian herbs, vegetables, art, seashell and sea glass necklaces. He speaks both fluent Italian and English. He is seemingly smooth talking, calm, laidback and is a very good people person, able to talk anyone into buying anything. He is best known for the necklaces and art He makes. Colorful, delicate and beautiful. The only thing He paints, however, are a phoenix and a dragonfly. He was so talented many people wondered why He would paint nothing else. He talks to Himself and never mentions His past. He is often seen in a white oxford shirt and blue jeans or tan cargo pants, and a seashell necklace.
Past: wrote:no one but Eli knows His past and He hopes it stays that way. he came to the island for a fresh start, hope and even to do something He had never attempted before... to find himself.
Childhood:
Eli grew up in a small house on Long Island, New York. He had never met His father, for He had ran off when Eli was born. Eli's mother was constantly working and almost never had time to raise Her son, leaving Eli's older brother, Ronan, was left to take care of Him. Ronan always tired to keep Eli happy. Ronan loved nothing more then making His little brother smile, and for Ronan's sake Eli always plastered a smile on His face, and laughed at all Ronan's lame puns and jokes to make Ronan smile. Eli's mother was never home... but then She was very cold. Eli tried everything to make Her like Him. Each time He tried a new personality, hoping that the new one would make Her like him. It never, ever worked. but Eli still tried. Then, one day, when He was seven years old, his world shattered. Ronan was hit by a drunk driver. He didn't recover. Eli cried Himself to sleep for the next year, and even now He sometimes still does.
Teen Years:
Eli became very manipulative to get what He wanted. Never assuming that if He asked it would work in His favor. No, the world didn't work that way. He would change His personality to acquire new friends, finding that it worked rather well. In school His favorite subject was phycology, and how the brain worked. He found it all very fascinating. He also loved slight of hand, and worked on His skills when He had time. His least favorite subject was history. The history books never failed to leave out important facts and had a rose tinted view of their country. (most books never even mention Christopher Columbus caused the enslavement and death of an entire culture! look it up. its true.) Although Eli spent most of His time studying history, thinking if He had to learn about the terrible things vicsets had done before Him, He might as well know the truth about it. By the time school ended, Eli had become a skilled con-vicset, manipulating, stealing and lying where skills He used often. Unfortunately, He had used His friends and now they all seemed to hate Him (Because they did)
Adult:
Eli had turned eighteen and was beginning to feel deeply depressed upon reflecting on His life and began to hate Himself. He lived a mundane, cynical, and depressing state for a few years before He decided He wanted to start a new life. Why not? He had no roots in New York, no friends, no family. (His mother had died recently) Eli decided to take His savings and move to an island off the cost of Italy. He wanted to find Himself, He had spent so many years being someone else, he didn't know how to be himself.
His new life wrote:Eli enjoys His days on the Island, selling goods to tourists. He even began painting. His symbols where a phoenix and a dragonfly. A phoenix symbolized renewal, and a dragonfly, in many cultures means change. Both things Eli desperately wanted with his new life.. Don't get Him wrong... He didn't just wake up one day a changed vicset, Lies slip out every now and then, and Eli often cons tourists out of a few bucks at His stand at the market.

So far Eli is still working on finding His personality, but so far He is pretty laid back, clam, content, knowledgeable, with a snarky sense of humor.
