He felt the world around his tremble beneath his feet...or was that just his stomach? Yeah just his stumic he could feel it having the rumbles as he took a break next to an abandon market that seemed to still have it's package produce here and there though for the most part it was littered around the ground. He walked up to the door of the market it didn't buge he rolled his eyes and kicked it down. Now he walked through the market.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" a voice said behind him it sounded a bit frightened.
"Yeah it's a great idea" He said in a happy tone stuffing his backpack the voice grumbled before making it's way near him. The viscet next to him seemed...transparent and ghost like...in fact he was a ghost,Alister had met the scared little fella in an ally the poor couldn't remember a thing so of course he let him follow him around but sometimes he just wasn't any fun.
"You really need to calm down sometimes you're a freakin ghost for crying out loud nothing can hurt you." He said now exiting the building not before grabbing a rubber duckie and sticking it on his shoulder...god he loved these things.bag full of wrapped goods was now strapped to his side .The ghost rolled his eyes following quickly after him.
"I don't understand why your not scared?"he said raising an translucent eyebrow going up in front of him. His eyes though they were hollow seemed to be confused.
"I like the world this way."Was Alister's simple reply as he walked right through him with a warm smile his tail wagging.
Alistair looked concerned now trailing alongside of him.
"whys that" He said interrupting the silence again.
"I like the world being .....what's the right word to put this as." he let out a cough. "Silent...that's the word.I like not having to follow by the rules that society had put me by before all of this...work that's all I ever did and I didn't get any respect for it!" He growled pausing for a moment he realized a familiar light invading his gaze.
"no....not again....I don't want to go back..." then everything around the viscet seemed to disappear as the sun through a window blurred his eyes.

A light breeze wafted the sickly scent of decay and death. The air was a blanket, suffocating the world in heat. The moon was hiding behind the red clouds that hung bleakly. The glass windows of the rundown shelter cracked, showing a bizarre dream to a horrifying reality. The tree outside the house was rattling, it's branches screeching across a window, causing the rogue inside to bury his head under his paws.
Sombra lifted his head, pressing his face against the glass. Grime flattened fur to his frame, showing off his ribs. His stomach growled. It was too unsafe to head out. They could be waiting at the door, which was now barricaded with what little furniture remained inside. He stepped back when a weak groaning came from beneath the window, his eyes widening in fear. This had to be it. They were here. He was doomed. Yet, instead of a half decayed beast, a starving cat weakly jumped onto the window sill.
Sombra bit his lip, and peeked out the door slowly. No sign of those beasts. He ran on light paws, gathering the kitten in careful paws. He darted back into the shelter, closing the door silently as possible. After he shoved the furniture back into place, Sombra gathered the little kitten to his chest, it's paws weakly flailing before it calmed down, snuggling into the warmth he offered. He gave a soft sigh of relief. Finally, company who wasn't bitten. It was the first living being he's seen in days. And it wasn't undead.
He settled the kitten beside his supplies, digging through to find it something to eat. He failed to notice one of the undead standing at the window, peering in with it's soulless eyes. It had smelled him, shuffling around the shelter to find the meal it would feast on. Sombra quietly gathered a few bits of meat, sliding them to the kitten, despite his own raging hunger. A low groan, this time, one of hunger and pain, echoed from outside. Sombra's body froze, his fur standing on end. He slowly turned his head, and his jaw went slack as he saw the now crowding bodies outside.
Sombra was horrified, his ears slowly falling backwards. No, not like this. Not inside of a shelter with no weapon protection. He was dead for sure. His head spun, his heart pounding. His stomach churned like a raging ocean. They were clawing at the window, attempting to break the already cracked barrier between them. One of them pressed it's face against it, causing the weakening glass to finally shatter.
Sombra's body lurched forward, and he ran to grab a table leg. But one had already crawled inside, lumbering towards him with a gaping jaw. As it's jaw went to fit around his shoulder, and his arm lifting to bash the leg against the cold body, Sombra lurched from his uneasy rest. His breathing was hoarse, rapid. It had been just a dream? But.. It felt so real..
