Bluebird was originally terrified of flying and falling while flying. Her parents tried everything they could think of but she would refuse to even try or she would only get a inch off the ground, fall then cry. That is until one day they got her a pet, it was a little blue Budgie named Pips. He was very small but full of life and loved to do loops, do figure eights for her and play tag with her.
They were as always together, there bond was closer then peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. But that bond was put to the test, one day they where playing hide and seek. Bluebird was it and Pips was flying around looking for somewhere to hide, he found a nice spot in a old tree with a hole way at the top. Bluebird looked everywhere for him, called out his his name and everything. She was just about to try a different area when she heard Pips chirps, but these weren't like his normal ones. They were more panicked, like something was trying to hurt him. then she saw it, way up in the tree a Falcon trying to get at little Pips. Bluebird tried to yell and shoo it away, but this falcon was hungry. Bluebird knew if she didn't do something she'd lose her best friends, so she spread her wings and this one strong flap of her wings she was up off the ground. she didn't look down at her feet like she normally would She just kept her eyes on Pips, calling out to him and yelling at the falcon.
She got all the way to the top and got the falcon to go, Pips came shooting out like a rocket to greet her and chirp at her affectionately. She was so happy Pips was safe and ok that she lost her fear of flying. The two flew home to a shocked parents who asked how she got over her fear of flying. Bluebird smiles and with Pips resting on her head said, "Pips helped me..".
Ever since that day Bluebird always flies with Pips close by, they even do tricks and race together. But she'll never forget how a little blur bird gave her the courage and motivation to fly up and save his life.
