When Silica was a young kal, she lived in the outback of Australia. Her parents took her to the famous opal mining town, Coober Pedy. She was taught that the opals can be found anywhere as long as you where willing to search.
Silica played around in the heaps, scrambling to the top and sliding back down. On one of these return trips, a gleam caught her eye. Reaching down, she carefully unearthed a beautiful white opal. "Look mom! It looks like my hair!" came her jubilant shout. That day she learned that one must keep an eye out for hidden treasures underneath you, whether they be rocks or kalons.
