What is a Jewel Mane Dragon?
A Jewel Mane Dragon - often shortened to JMD, is a large dragon-like creature with extremely soft fur covering its entire body and special “jewels” located on both it’s head and tail. These jewels hold special powers, and grant each dragon abilities based on the color of the jewel. Many years ago, Jewel Mane Dragons were hunted for their pelts and jewels which were made into fine garments and luxury items. Around the turn of the century, the practice of hunting JMDs was outlawed. Since then most have taken to adopting Jewel Mane Dragons as companions.

After a very long time, I'm finally putting up a JMD again.
I'm so sorry for being so inactive. >.<
It's just that I had no desire to design anymore. All my inspiration was lost.

But I did some designs for another species recently, which made me want to do JMD's again.
So here I am. ^^

"Patience is a virtue" is what she'd always be told as a child, and generally, she'd take it in stride for her ego.
She always thinks that she's the best out of everyone, that she's perfect and she can do no wrong! She has no issues in crying wolf if you attempt to talk her down a notch (or several). She refuses to see that she needs to knock her ego off before she gets bit by karma.

Short Personality; Myrtle can be a bit of an enigma. His actions and words can
be difficult to understand, with their frequent airiness and deeper meanings.
He himself appears to be much of an airhead, seemingly distant from reality
and spouting words that others may view as nonsense. Always seeing the good
in others, he tries little to look at who they truly are, and often falls prey to
others' acts of manipulation or jeers. Despite this, he strives to accept everyone,
and certainly isn't one to hold a grudge over some petty insult. Myrtle tends to
'go with the flow', keeping true to his free-spirit ways and never dedicating himself
to just one thing. Hence his jewel and it's powers, Myrtle's favourite place to be
is the outdoors, and he's relatively active and fit; alas, he would see himself no
other way.

Drabble; With wind flowing beneath his wings and keeping him aloft, Myrtle soared
high above the canopy, a grin stretching across his maw. The sounds of nature put
him at ease, and recent memories allowed his thoughts to wander. Absentmindedly
he dipped, wings tucking in slightly and tail twitching to change his direction. After
suffering through another one of Ladybird's lectures of how he should be tending to
his work more often, Myrtle found himself taking felt to ease his mind of the
complicated words of his friend. After all, he couldn't be bothered to worry on
such a beautiful day.
