☆ CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS ☆

Rika

She is Disney's girlfriend. As Disney puts it, the two go together like peanut butter and jelly, or milk and cookies. Both are nerdy and somewhat introverted, and just naturally get along with each other. They had been friends for a long time until Disney spilled the beans about his crush on her one day. Since then, they've been inseparable.

Rika anxiously paced back and forth outside the movie theater. The movie showing was for 4:00, but it was 6:45 and Disney had still not shown up. "He said to be here by 4:00, right? It's feels like I've been here forever! He hasn't even responded to my texts or anything yet. Wait, wait, hold on a second. Maybe his phone ran out of battery, or he was too nervous and decided not to show up..."

Interrupting Rika's thought, a car sped around the corner and screeched to a halt near the sidewalk where she was standing. A familiar—and clearly exhausted—brunette stepped out of the car. It was Disney.

Rika squealed and barreled into him for a tight hug, almost knocking him over in the process. Disney laughed and hugged her back, a slight blush forming on his cheeks.

"Gosh, never on time as usual I see! I've been here for over two hours, where were you, nerd?" Rika asked jokingly, exaggerating the last word.

Disney averted eye contact and scratched the back of his neck. "Yeah, I'm sorry about that! I uh, was out getting something for you. Here, I think you'll like it." He smiled as he pulled out a huge bag of caramel covered candies.

"Wait, these are the ones I like that are super hard to find! Were you really out driving for two hours trying to find these?" She held up the bag and gave Disney an "are you serious?" look.

Disney laughed and said, "Yeah I was, but seeing the sequel to one of the best movies ever requires eating one of the greatest snacks ever, right?"

"You're such a goof, I love you." Rika leaned up and gave him quick kiss on the cheek and the two headed inside the theater to see a later showing of their movie.

Maison

Tries to be friendly towards him, but does not trust him at all. Disney used to be more gullible in his younger years, so Maison (of course) took full advantage of this and would deceive Disney to try to steal something or manipulate him into doing his dirty work.

Disney will tolerate Maison if he has to, but dislikes his obnoxious and sometimes overbearing personality.

"No, no, no, I don't care what you say! You're not tricking me again. You have, what, three or four friends to pick from to do your dirty work for you?" Disney spat, he was beyond frustrated. He started to walk down the alleyway to the sidewalk before Maison tried to get his attention again.

"Two of those four "friends" don't even like me. Cipher technically wants me dead, so I don't ask him for anything. I'd rather not get on the bad side of anyone who has enough guns to start a small war." Maison's expression started to change from irritated to concerned. "And, I mean... Cameron's just so moody and back and forth with me all the time. I almost never know what's goin' on in his head."

Disney turned back around to stare at the skinny street rat. He started to realize just how down-and-out, and honestly, pitiful Maison really looked. He was leaning against a dumpster and had many scars and patches of dirt on his body. There were always bandages covering his upper left foreleg... did something serious happen? His hair looked greasy and disheveled, and his eyes were usually glazed. To top it off, Maison had a half-eaten piece of chicken leg from the trash hanging from his mouth. Disney was annoyed by Maison and his antics, but deep down he wondered how he even got to be this way. He thought to himself, "How did he ever sink this low? How could anyone get used to living like this? He's pretty rude and sarcastic, but I don't think he's a bad person. I feel sorry for the poor guy..."

Cameron

Cameron was very reluctant at first, but he eventually warmed up to Disney and considers him to be a good friend. Cameron is more relaxed and one to stay inside and chill with friends playing video games or watching movies, so he and Disney actually get along quite well.

SHORT STORY TEXT
Summary: Disney stays the night at Cameron's apartment, the two play video games and watch movies. Disney wakes in the middle of the night to hear Cameron talking in his sleep about Maison. The two discuss relationship problems and how to open up to people, helping Cameron face his fear of commitment.

Record

Disney's always had a fascination with science and robotics. Record's an android so Disney would
often pester him by asking many questions about himself or his creator. ("How does that yellow heart thing work?", "When were you created?" , "Why do you have all those cracks in your body?", "How come your eyes are swirly sometimes?", "Has Cameron created brothers or sisters for you?", "Do you think he could build a robot for me?")

Record's music style is mainly pop, and Disney just so happens to absolutely love pop. He calls himself "Record's biggest fan".
The latter's ego is the size of a planet, so he's grown relatively fond of Disney.

SHORT STORY TEXT
Summary: Record invites Disney over for a jam session. Cameron and Maison show up, and Disney is caught in the midst when a playful argument turns into a full-on wrestling match between the android and the street rat.

Hai

Disney considers him to be a mentor and a best friend, or an older brother figure. Both are extremely invested in the paranormal, they will often set aside days for reading and sharing their research. They also sometimes go on explorations to abandoned/haunted places together!

Disney walked into Hai's study and gazed upon the bookshelves lining the back wall. The books and mysterious objects on display and in sealed jars were all neatly organized. Hai's work desk, however, was a different story. It looked as though a tornado had torn through it; at least a dozen books with colored strips tucked into them, notes with unfamiliar text, scrumpled paper, many pens and pencils, and a strange black substance were all over the place. Disney stared in amazement, but noticed that Hai was nervously shifting his paws and looking the other way.

"I apologize, please excuse the mess. I haven't had time to clean up in here in a while since I'm always researching..." Hai coughed and brushed his bangs out of his eyes.

"Oh, don't worry about it, sir! I don't mind at all. This room's so cool, I've never seen this many books and artifacts in one place like this! It almost feels like I'm in a museum!" Disney darted from shelf to shelf, grabbing books and putting them in a stack to borrow and read for later. Hai smiled and moved over to another shelf and grabbed an old and dusty journal.

Disney paused and noticed one book in particular lying under a stack of papers on Hai's desk. It had a hardback black cover... with black pages? "This one's just sitting here by itself, what on earth could it be?" Disney thought to himself as he peered over his shoulder. Hai was standing just a few feet away, still flipping through the old journal.

Moments later out of the corner of his eye, he saw Disney reach for the black book. Hai's heart skipped a beat and his eyes widened in fear.

"DON'T TOUCH THAT!!" Hai yelled across the room in alarm, and scrambled to get the book away from Disney, who panicked and dropped the book immediately. Hai sprinted and then fell to the floor, skidding onto hard concrete to catch the book. It had landed in Hai's paws, luckily with the metal latch holding it shut still being in place.

Luka

"I'd love to hear more stories, like what happened that time you saved Rufus and ran away from those monsters!" Disney walked—or skipped rather—as his paws tapped excitedly on the ground. Luka floated a few feet in the air beside him as the two made their way down the path to the woods.

"Didn't I tell you that one already? It was from a few days ago, remember?" Luka directed his gaze downwards and gave Disney a questioning look, tilting his head sideways in confusion.

"Yeah, but it's always fun to hear them again! It's like reading your favorite book over and over, y'know?" Disney flopped down on the grass and rested his paws on his cheeks as the half ghost began to collect his thoughts to recount his story.

Same as with Hai, Disney's become very attached to Luka. They are both generally quiet, and enjoy one another's company. Disney loves to walk as Luka floats beside him and tells stories about his life when he was alive and his experiences being a ghost.

Luka died when he was young, so Disney helps him live the childhood he never really had. He takes Luka to go the movies, amusement parks at night, plays video games, camps out with him, etc.

Cipher

Disney was walking home from school when he glanced across the street. He noticed Cipher sitting at a table in an exotic and expensive-looking restaurant. The stuck-up canine shot the teen an ugly, hateful glare and scrunched his nose before looking the opposite direction.

Disney looked down at the ground and started to mutter to himself, "That guy's bad news, I swear. He gives me weird looks and he's always so sarcastic and bitter, around me anyways. He's a jerk, sure, but I've never seen him act like that around Cameron or Record." Disney sighed and reached into his backpack to pull out one of his many books relating to the paranormal. "Did I do something to make him not like me? Or is it because he's something like what I've seen in-" He came across a passage that made him halt his reading. "No way, it can't be..."

Disney has a strong dislike for Cipher. He is typically skeptical of people, and usually correct when he suspects that "something is not quite right" with someone. This rings true for Cipher, he never enjoyed being around him; he felt the rich canine's eyes follow him if he was in the room and was always tense being near him. He gives glares and smug looks when he sees Disney, as though he is superior to him because of where he comes from, or because of his financial and social status. Cipher apparently gives off a "very bad energy" and tends to frighten Disney.

"Um, no I'd still be paranoid of what my friends and family would think. I don't want to be remembered as a criminal."

2. If your character could go back to college (or to college), what would they major in?
"Something relating to art, or even forensic science!"

3. Did they ever bully anybody in school? Were they ever bullied? How did they react to the bullying or what prompted them to bully someone?
a) "No, never."
b) "For a little while, unfortunately."
c) "I stood up for myself and my friends."

4. Your character's car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. What do they do?
"Call for help, I don't know too much about cars, much less fixing them."

5. Your character needs to go clothes shopping. Where do they go? What do they buy?
"Probably a discount store, I'm not too picky with what I wear. And I don't like spending what I don't have."

6. Oh man! Your character failed a class with flying colors! What class is it and how do they react?
"Better luck next semester I guess.."

7. Your character is given a choice to read Harry Potter or Twilight. Which do they choose and why?
"Harry Potter, please. I like the lore and characters a lot more."

"That's a tough one, maybe the medieval times? I've read a lot on the history of medieval Europe, It's particularly interesting to me."

"To see the past, present, and future! Especially the past; I want to know what happened hundreds or thousands or even millions of years ago, and to remember something I forgot a few minutes ago, haha."

"Erm, I'm not the best cook in the world.. maybe macaroni or fast food?"

"Oh, yes I do! I have so many books on it and I go out and explore haunted places and watch all these paranormal shows and-" //continues to go on a very long tangent

"My experiences with the paranormal, or a fantasy or science fiction novel. Or both." //smiles

"The diner, definitely. I'd prefer eating burgers over listening to someone sing at the top of their lungs."

"Standing up for what you believe is wrong or corrupt?"

"I don't usually follow the crowd or make trends. I just do my own thing, really." //cue being called a hipster

"I do like attention and being cared for, but I reeeally don't like doctors or hospitals. I'll let myself wait and wait until I'm miserable. It's a bad habit, I admit.." //sorry Rika

"Start filling out applications for new ones immediately!"

"At home resting with Rika in a cold, comfy bed with a horror movie on with a box of pizza, a stuffed animal, and a million pillows and blankets."

"Being in a hospital or being stuck in the heat. These two combined are the worst thing imaginable."

20. So your character has an enemy. What is their past? Why do they hate each other?
"I don't have any enemies. That I know of, anyway."

"I've got a lot of posters with horror movies on them! There's a few bookcases and display shelves with little figurines and comics on them, and a huge stack of movies by a small TV and DVD player in the corner.

Oh and it's always cold and there's a lot of art supplies and video games everywhere.. Watch your step so you don't step on any of it, please." //smiles nervously //is too lazy to clean it up

"Not tell anyone and save it for later! You never know when you might need it."

"Anything to help animals in shelters!"

"I'd pick songs I like, maybe some indie or synthsound. Anything slow or instrumental's fine with me."

"Maybe selling artwork or something to do with food?"

//screams for someone else to kill it

"If it's a giant spider or something mutated from my friend's experiments, the door's locked and nothing's getting out of there.. Hopefully."

"I ate someone's lunch without realizing it."

"I try to exercise in the mornings. Kind of. A little. Maybe a tad bit." //he sits on a throne of lies

a) "Yeah, they usually tend to like me too!"
b) "I've never had a reason to dislike them. The kids I've met are pretty nice."

"As long as we're happy, it's ideal.. And as long as there's cake too. I've heard wedding cake is some of the best you'll ever have." //far too obsessed with food rip

"I'd name him Malachi, or something cool like that. I like dogs, but I much prefer cats!"

"Art school!"

"Any style is good in its own way, I have no real favorite. But cartoony styles would be it if I absolutely had to choose."

"The food court, the dinosaurs, and uh.. things like ancient artifacts and stuff!"

"I've been told I smell like pine, or mint?"

"What is this 'sleep' you speak of?" //his sleep schedule is nonexistant
