What is a Jewel Mane Dragon?
A Jewel Mane Dragon - often shortened to JMD, is a large dragon-like creature with extremely soft fur covering its entire body and special “jewels” located on both it’s head and tail. These jewels hold special powers, and grant each dragon abilities based on the color of the jewel. Many years ago, Jewel Mane Dragons were hunted for their pelts and jewels which were made into fine garments and luxury items. Around the turn of the century, the practice of hunting JMDs was outlawed. Since then most have taken to adopting Jewel Mane Dragons as companions.

I've been working on this one for a while, but I just couldn't get it to look right. I scrapped a bunch of ideas while working on them, but I think it turned out... okay? |"D
I wanted to keep them colorful, as a very tiny hint to something that will be posted today or tomorrow!
No extras, but coding is allowed.

xxx's favorite activity is working with clay. She makes all kinds of neat trinkets
from earrings to necklaces, all the way to table top decorations and mini fountains.
xxx loves working with clay, she is almost always found with her paws covered in it
nose down working on her current project. Her whole life revolves around her work,
and her home reflects so. She is always trying to find ways to make new unique things
to sell and gift to others.

Walking through the desert. Any desert, really. Her jewel is blue, meaning the power of water. With that, they never really get dehydrated. When she does this, she feels happy. Starbound often does it to draw life forms in the deserts, her personal favorites being foxes and cacti. She also sometimes sells these drawings, which is what she relies on to get money. She finds the desert pretty; especially when the cacti are in bloom, or at night time, when the stars are out, alongside nocturnal animals.

Blowing bubbles in freezing weather. Not many others think to do such a simple thing in such frigid weather, but little do they know how much joy it can bring. Especially in Yuki's case. Blowing bubbles is fun itself and even more fun to pop the soapy spheres. But in freezing weather the bubbles act differently. Yuki likes to catch the bubbles on the wand as fast and she can before the bubble actually freezes. Then she sits back and marvels at how the bubble deflates a little then ice proceeds to encase the bubble. Ever since she was but a child this frozen activity has always captivated her. This is mostly due to the intricate ice designs that naturally form on the bubble. And of course once the bubble is frozen and she's done admiring the ice pattern she pops the frozen bubble for a little extra amusement.

Congratulations to gecko.! I love the activity you chose, and I can clearly visualize this JMD working with clay smears everywhere and the mess that naturally comes with the craft. I hope you enjoy Juniper!
