"What are you most proud of?"

When she was 5, her kindergarten teacher asked her that. She said she was proud of the bees.

"They fly around all day and make pretty flowers grow and yummy honey for me to eat!"

When she was 11, her soccer coach asked her that. She said she was proud of her team.

"They worked really hard all season so that we could make it to the state championships. Even though we didn't move on to the nationals, we still won third place!"

When she was 17, her college application essay asked her that. She said she was proud of her family.

"They supported me and showed me love when nobody else would. It would've been so easy to turn away, but they stood by me. It's thanks to them that I'm here."

When she was 21, her girlfriend asked her that. She laughed.

"Why you of course! You bring light to my life even when I think there's nothing to smile for. When my day starts to pour, you'll come dance in the rain with me. I know I can always count on you. There's no one in the world I'm more proud of."
