What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

I was still far behind him. I sprinted and finally caught up to him. But he wasn't there. I looked out into the vast meadow and couldn't find him. So I started looking for him. I couldn't find him then suddenly, he popped out of the tall grass right in front of me. We couldn't find any deer to chase so we chased each other and ran and ran until we both were so tired. I could never catch him when he ran his fastest. On our way back, we stopped at the lake for a swim. He splashed me so much. Then, we returned to the stables to stay by each other's side.

Wren's ears flicked as she heard the judge's voice. She felt a slight pressure on the reins as her rider brought her focus back. The mare brought her head into the bit as she prepared for the aid.
Her rider's leg slid back to ask her for it. Wren immediately responded, going on a steady, forward canter. Her eyes drifted towards her brother, Heron, who was across the ring, cantering away. It filled her with joy that she and her brother could compete in the same ring... for the Championship.

"And down to the trot."

Wren startled, not expecting the voice. She quickly regained herself and came down to the trot, but with guilt. She knew everyone saw that little mess up. The mare let out a sigh and continued to trot forward, feeling her rider rise and fall on her back.

"Please come down to the walk and line up."

Wren relaxed, coming down from the trot. Her rider turned her head to line up, and her body followed. The mare halted next to the other horses and waited. She saw Heron come up beside her and her ever so slightly turned her nose to touch his.

"The Championship goes to... John Waters, riding Grazing the Water!"

Her brother trotted forward excitedly, his ears pricked and his tail waving. Wren watched as Heron dipped his head to let them drape a ribbon over his neck.

"Reserve Champion is Danicka Adams, riding Drifting in the Breeze!"

Wren contained herself as she walked forward. Heron walked up to her and they touched noses, blowing gently into each other's nostrils.
They broke apart, and the mare watched as her brother trotted his victory lap. Congratulations, brother, she thought.
