- Camelot is quite the character. Unlike a lot of youngsters, he's not really one for playing pretend or for making things. Creativity definitely isn't one of his strong suits, so he is especially amazed by others that are creative and can come up with unique ideas. He's incredibly adventurous and curious, as a lot of kits are, and he has a special spot in his heart for learning. He likes to learn any way possible and will spend hours reading in Arthur's bookshop or on the computer reading educational articles. In fact, he doesn't like or use technology at all unless he's using it in order to learn, and his favorite books are non-fiction. Cam's favorite things to learn about are mythology, religions and birds. Even at his young age, he can recite lots of stories and information about all three of the subjects with ease. Camelot likes to go tromping around outside and is often found quite dirty or high up in trees. Sometimes his tree-climbing can be a bit dangerous, though, and he has gotten stuck and had to be retrieved by one of his fathers on occasion.
He is generally quite happy and bouncy around those that he likes and when he's by himself, but he is also very snarky and has an unreal grip on sarcasim for a youngster of his age. Though he's typically at least somewhat pleasant, he is standoffish and defensive and sometimes a bit rude towards strangers. Even though he can be unpleasant towards strangers, it's typically just portrayed through his body language due to his reluctance to speak to a lot of strangers. Despite his quiet, defensive nature around strangers, he actually doesn't mind being around them; Cam just doesn't know what to say or do and his natural habits and body language just come off defensive and abrasive. He has a fierce loyal streak and will stick with friends even after having been wronged by them. Cam will fiercely defend those he cares for, even if he knows he could easily be harmed; he's a smol that thinks he's a tol. He can be very vicious and mean when defensive. However, Camelot often doesn't know when to back down or let up, so he can sometimes get into much too much trouble and need to be saved or pulled away by one of his fathers.
relationship with Arthur:
- Camelot adores Arthur. He knows that Arthur is his father, but he thinks that he is just simply too adorable and sweet for words. Most of the time, at least, as he does sometimes get a bit... weird? Cam isn't really quite sure what's up with that, but he does know that most of the time he just down right loves Arthur. Even though he's a small little kit, Camelot is insanely protective of Arthur. He feels like Arthur is very pure and sweet and wants to protect him from the world and anyone that could hurt him. He has a tendency to like staying in the bookshop, and it's not uncommon for Cam to sass the customers or to tell them off completely, especially if they're pushing his dad around or if they're being rude. He feels like Arthur is too sweet to really stand up for himself and desperately tries to fill that gap so that no one hurts him or takes advantage of him. Fairly recently there's been some weird guy staying around the bookshop, and Camelot is far from happy with this. The other man seems to take advantage of Arthur, which Cam absolutely can't stand. Camelot takes special pride and happiness from telling off and sassing the dark, mysterious stranger. Cam looks up to Arhtur for his kindness, and just outright adores him in basically all aspects.
- Cam very much appreciates Adonis and his attitude and work. He loves the plants that Adonis grows and takes care of, and admires his dedication to the plants. He's got a fondness of plants and really quite likes taking care of them, but he's not got a green thumb at all. In fact, Adonis only lets Camelot take care of the plants that aren't actually in the greenhouse because Cam tends to kill off basically any and all plants he attempts to care for. He also very much admires his father's personality. It amazes Camelot that he can manipulate people so easily and so well, and he hopes that he'll be as good at it one day. Adonis' thoughtfulness towards his repsonses and actions also astounds Cam, who has little to no filter and doesn't tend to think much before he acts. His father's attention to detail is also quite stumping, as Camelot is much too impatient to pay any real attention to detail. Cam likes to follow Adonis around and watch what he does and try to mimic him and his actions as best as he can. He looks up to Adonis probably the most of his fathers, and hopes to have quite a few of his qualities.
- Camelot likes Riven despite his being very absent in Cam's life. He has a bit of an idea that Riven might not be the best person in the world, but he loves him all the same. Riven doesn't really seem to be bombarded with children things, so Cam tries his hardest to act mature and grown up whenever he's around. He likes to sort of hang back and try to act cooler and more chill than he is in order to try to make Riven more fond of him. It hurts whenever Riven may be rude towards him or brush him off, but Camelot knows that it's not anything personal and hopes to one day be a person that Riven enjoys being around. Whenever Riven is gone, Cam writes letters to him, often recruiting the help from Arthur, especially when it comes to spelling.
- Cam likes all of his siblings. He likes to go adventuring and frog-watching with Frog, and likes that the two of them can go off and do stunts and reckless things together. He seems to have the most effortless relationship with Frog. He likes to have "reading time" with Finn, where the two of them just sit in silence and read next to one another. Camelot also likes to talk with him about supernatural things, and will do research about supernatural beings and the likes in order to be able to talk to him more. It excited Cam that his brother knows so much about supernatural stuff. Cam likes Ramiel, but he wishes that the other boy would talk to him more. He respects the boy's quietness. However, he does tend to bug the other in order to try to get him to talk and bond with him more. It can get a bit frustrating for Camelot when Ramiel won't talk to him.
future plans:
- Right now, Camelot wants nothing more than to teach. Nothing would make him happier than to be able to teach classes on mythology or religions, and his wish right now is to be a professor. He is optimistic that he'll acheive his dream one day. However, he's not sure if he would like to be away from his family for long periods of time, and Cam knows he would desperately miss Adonis' plants and Arthur's books. In addition to teaching, Camelot would like to publish several books pertaining to mythology and maybe write a fantasy series. Ever the realist, though, he doesn't believe that he'll ever become a well-known author, especially not when it comes to writing fantasy. Cam simply doesn't think that he's creative enough to write fantasy novels.
