Astra was always a quiet Kalon. She didn't speak much to anyone, but spent much of her time looking up at the stars. She would stare up at the sky for hours trying to connect the stars into constellations like she tried to connect the events of her life into meanings. Like the constellations, she knew her life had meaning, but she just couldn't clearly see what it was. One night, it was particularly chilly outside and she almost skipped her nightly walk to the special tree. It was the tree that was alone amongst the woods, and had absolutely no branches. It was just a questionably long stump, but it felt like it belonged to her, and it made her feel like she had a place of her own; it made her feel like she had a place that she could call home. She still forced herself to go out to the special tree that night, despite the chill. She stared up at the stars during her walk there, not wanting to miss a single moment with her truest friends. She stared up at the stars for so long that she had forgotten to look ahead of her and accidentally stumbled upon a telescope that was parked right next to her special tree. She was curious as to whose telescope was out there by her[i][ special tree. Her usual calm demeanor quickly turned into anger at the thought of someone else taking [i]her special tree. When she couldn't see anyone near the tree, she decided to use the telescope. If someone was going to take her spot, the least they could do was share! She looked up at the sky and turned slightly to the right. Just then, she was able to see the Aquarii star, and then the Aquarius constellation! She saw her first constellation and it was all because of this random telescope that just happened to be at her special tree! She had almost forgotten that she was putting her eye up to some strangers telescope when she turned the telescope to the right again, but this time she didn't see any stars. This time she saw a giant eyeball! She quickly removed her eye from the telescope and screamed "Is this your telescope?! Why are you leaving things at my special tree?!" This was the most she had spoken in one sitting in ages. Her eyes were so blurred from anger and embarrassment that it took a moment to see that the eyeball that she instantly hated actually belonged to Page, her childhood best friend that she had met at that special tree years earlier. They had parted ways when Page's mother didn't want her in the woods alone anymore, and this is the first time she had seen her since they were just children. Her anger turned into joy, and her embarrassment into tears as she stared at her only friend that wasn't a star. "You found me." Astra said, as she put her head on Pages shoulder. "I have never felt so lucky in my life."

Aurora was pretty superstitious, if you compare her with ordinary kalons. She shied away from black cats, got extremely protective of mirrors, hid in her room on Friday the 13th, and would snatch your umbrella away if you even looked like you were going to open it indoors. Even though her strong belief in Lady luck, she refused to have a rabbit's foot, no matter how much luck it would give her.
And plus, she had a lucky day yesterday, without a rabbit's foot.

But this was her second luckiest moment. The first? That's another story.
