Name : Cairo
Gender : Agender / it or they pronouns. Most often it, as the conjugations of 'they' bother Cairo.
How they are unattainable : Cairo is unattainable because it is a compulsive liar. It can't be attained because you don't know what you'll get -- while it portrays itself as wild, reckless, and tough, underneath all the lies it is actually just a very bitter and boring kalon. There is no way to know when it is telling the truth, and this renders getting close to Cairo to be a very difficult task.

Name -- Ellery
Gender -- male
How they are unattainable --
For as long as Ellery can remember, he's been in love with his best friend.
It all started back in kindergarten, when Ellery was assigned the seat next to the weird kid with all the braids in his hair. Ellery, who had been raised on the edges of a Louisianan swamp and had manners ingrained in him as deeply as his accent, stuck his hand out and introduced himself despite his misgivings. He was genuinely pleased then when the boy beamed up at him and said, "I'm Deam. We're friends now, yeah?"
Ellery walked Deam home from school and it turned out their houses were mere minutes from each other, separated only by a thin road and a stretch of standing water. Their friendship, formed in the sticky nature of childhood, grew devotional over the years. They spent hours upon hours together as they moved through grades and schools and friendships, were as likely to crash in one another's bed as they were their own. Their mothers became friends as well by necessity; if Deam wasn't home it could be safely assumed he was at Ellery's, and vice versa. They got Christmas presents from aunts and uncles and cousins they had met only once at the holidays but it was as if they shared a family, a home. Ellery didn't realize what it was he felt for Deam until, shortly after their 14th birthdays, Deam abruptly began avoiding him.
Ellery persisted in their friendship. He called Deam daily, crept around him at school, brought him his homework and lunch. He didn't understand this sudden gaping distance between them; now Deam insisted on going home to sleep, even when he stayed far too late to warrant the walk, and he skipped all the classes he knew Ellery would cover for him in. A year passed like that, and then another. Ellery adjusted to his constant yearning for Deam's presence; he got used to latching onto girlfriends and boyfriends alike to cover his heartbreak. He never kept them long, always discarded the relationships when he became overwhelmed by their affection, and his feelings for Deam did not shift. When it came time to choose their universities Ellery picked one halfway across the country, a veterinarian establishment in California. He drove out of Louisiana without a second glance, with blue roses woven into his hair.
He'd been at university for a couple months when Deam called him. Ellery, sitting in the quad and laughing at his then-girlfriend's joke, glanced at his phone when it started ringing and then abruptly went still. 'DEAM' blinked his little screen. 'DEAM, DEAM, DEAM'.
Their friendship crept back, inch by inch. Physical distance had rewarded Ellery with genuine affection from Deam once more and he broke up willfully with his girlfriend and refused to admit to himself why. The other students gossiped about the boy with the pink hair and the crown of blue roses; they talked lowly about his string of affairs, of the broken hearts he left in his wake. They whispered about the boy he was always on the phone with, the one who could so easily make him laugh. Those who had eyed Ellery with interest begrudgingly turned away; he was so invested in someone else that they could not have the entirety of him, and a sliver was simply not enough.
Ellery floated through the remainder of university in a similar fashion. His phone became an extension of his fingers; he brought it with him everywhere, even snuck it beneath the desk in the middle of class or to the library tucked into a breast pocket. He gradually distanced himself from the friends he had made since he'd moved into the dorm, and they could do nothing to stop it. Ellery had always desperately loved Deam, and their physical distance made no difference to him. Deam was his priority, and his other friendships faded as his neglect persisted. Eventually he was keeping to himself everywhere he went, if only so he wouldn't have to extract himself from anymore awkward love confessions.
When an old friend from his sophomore year that Ellery had once called his best friend gave him a necklace pendent shaped into a blooming rose Ellery was initially confused. The friend handed him the necklace with a tired smile and pressed it into the palm of his hand. "It's a blue rose," he'd said, as if that was meant to clear everything up. It was the last time they'd spoken, but Ellery kept the pendent, and wears it occasionally when he craves for the weight of it around his neck.
He did look up blue roses once, in a book on the language of flowers he'd found in the library, and wasn't sure how to take what it was he'd found. He remembers what it had said well. "...the blue rose symbolizes the impossible, or the unattainable. Since the blue rose itself is a rarity in nature, it stands for something that is hardly within one's grasp, an object that seems too difficult to be achieved. Thus the blue rose is admired and revered as an unrealizable dream." Ellery wore the pendent to his graduation ceremony, and took it all the way back to Louisiana with him when he went home. The infrequent times afterward Ellery was approached by someone interested in a relationship he would touch the pendent almost obsessively; but his affection for Deam did not dwindle, and his steadfast opposition to dating anyone else remained.
When Ellery took a job at a local veterinarian clinic to get some hours under his belt he carefully tended to a reputation as that sort of man that you can look at but not touch. He became something of an expert at dodging burgeoning crushes, and the blue rose pendent featured in many of his outfits. He didn't bother to wear it beneath his collar anymore but rather let it rest above the seams of his button-up. He still touched it when he told someone no but he thought of Deam rather than the friend who had given it to him each time he did.

How they are unattainable (but honestly it basically just turned into a giant personality) -- Zaay absolutely loves getting what she wants. she doesn't care who she was to yell at in order to make it happen, but she just adores tricking others into benefitting her. she's generally snappy and doesn't care too much about anyone else's feelings, and therefore doesn't bother herself trying to make friends or getting close to anyone unless it benefits her.
sometimes she likes to test her luck and see how many people she can draw into a mess of lies before they all figure it out. she never feels bad, or if she does always has a way of fixing it. she's a tricky Kalon to get near, as she's always caught up in some elaborate plan or off doing something else. she isn't really one for romance, and avoids that in general.

How they are unattainable -- abrielle is extremely quiet and reserved. she has many many
emotional walls that take hard work to get around, especially if you plan to win her love. she's very distrusting, and
has a hard time believing what people tell her. abrielle is definitely not a follower, and more of a leader, but of herself.

How they are unattainable -- He is unattainable simply by matter of distance - he lives on an island with only a few companions, mostly animals. The island is located pretty much in the middle of the Atlantic, and is obscure enough that most don't even know about it. No one's actually sure what it's called - Majin jokingly calls it 'Atlantis' sometimes, so that's the closest thing they know of.
