Dexter was found out in the rain one day; he was quickly taken into the shelter, being a bit too skinny and... street looking. Despite it being obvious he had been on the streets for awhile, he was rather excited about getting attention from people on the street and let his rescue go smoothly. He was a bit shaky around everyone for awhile, but kept his playful, puppy-like manner. It was later decided that he probably was under a year old. He recovered quickly and nobody could find any mental, physical, or emotional issues with him. He was put up for adoption for adopt... lets say three days, before a staff member took him in. He now tends to walk around the shelter with said staff member and greet anybody that comes to look at the animals up for adoption.
- He doesn't seem to like leather at all and will try to run away from anyone trying to put a leather collar around his neck. If you successfully get the collar around his neck he gets a bad case of the shivers and won't look up at you directly. We have no idea what might've happened to him to where he doesn't like leather, but it's all in the past and we've found a solution. He seems to be okay with chains, plastic, just not leather; so we've decided to give him a choker collar, just for his sake.
