My dear princess. Yume.

In the land of Everhearth, sometimes when you visit the royal palace, you can hear the weeping of the princess that once lived there. Her story is one of heart break and I shall tell you her tragic story.

Long long ago lived a cheerful and beautiful princess named Yume. Her name meant dream and she sure dreamed of a bright future. The people of the land adored her kind and gentle nature. One day while out in town as usual interacting with the people, she met a prince that stole her heart. She would sneak out the see him. Her parents disapproved of him and
with good reason.

But the princess would continue to see the prince. They would go on dates around the town every week and charming the people along the way. The princess fell deeper and deeper in love. She couldn't escape this feeling. She fell for his charms.
However, one day, the prince stopped visiting and was not where to be found. He just disappeared. The princess fell into depression when she found out about the news.

Years past and yet the princess's heart still belonged to the prince. On one sunny afternoon, the prince reappeared but with another female kalon at his side. When the princess saw him in town, she was shocked and heartbroken. She couldn't believe what she saw and fled from the scene with tears in her eyes back to the castle. The princess hid within the castle walls for months until the prince managed to sneak into the palace to see her. The prince tried to explain the situation but the princess did not want any excuses and screamed for him to go away and never come back again. The prince looked upset as he sneaked away again. Later that night, a loud weeping could be heard in the princess's room but she was nowhere to be found.

Personality:

Back when she was alive:
Yume was a bright and optimistic child. You could say she was the sun to the kingdom. She was beloved by almost everyone. Unlike her ancestors, Yume would go out in towns and interact with everyone no matter their status. She would buy food for the homeless or volunteer at food banks. Many of the people were more than excited for her to take the throne. When they saw Yume together with the prince, they would bid her well. They were excited that their precious princess now had someone she's loved. Unfortunately for them and Yume, the prince wasn't a good fellow and broke Yume's heart.

Afterlife:
Yume is constantly sad and finding almost no happiness. She currently lives in the castle she grew up in. Yume is sour and angry all the time. She doesn't interact with anyone who visits as it hurts her every time since it reminds her of the past. She watched her parents pass away then her brother then it's her niece. They all disappeared before her eyes and eventually she felt isolated from the family. As the negative feelings in Yume grew, she grew restless and seek revenge.

After she met Haru:
Some of her positive features and personality became to show again. She was happier now. She regains her gentle and kind nature/personality.

Relationships:

Haru: Yume first saw Haru when he was visiting the palace. When Yume found out Haru was related to the prince, her fury and restlessness grew huge. She thought to herself, this must be the disgusting child that was the result of the prince and the other woman's relationship. She followed him everywhere looking for the perfect moment to strike when Haru's fathers shouted him to come over. This shocked Yume so she listened in. "Haru! I told you not to run around by yourself!" one of the older kalons scolded him. "Sorry father.." he said in remorse. The word father rang in her ears. "What happened to the woman?" Yume asked herself. She could clearly see the two older kalons were mates. She would later find out that the prince had an affair with those two and then abandoned them. Still she wanted revenge. One day, when she and Haru was alone, Haru turned around to face her and said "Why are you following me around?" Yume scooted back in shock. This child could see her. "Ah nothing?" she mumbled and ran away. As time passed, Yume fell for the young prince. Unlike his father, Haru was more loyal like his other two fathers.

Leon: Haru's brother. Leon could see Yume also. However, when Leon first met Yume, it was through his brother Haru. Haru introduced her soon after the brothers reunited and went on a family vacation to meet up with him. "Ummm.. this is well my significant other." Haru said shyly. "Ehh! I didn't think you had it in you!" Leon teased. Yume was surprised at how different the brothers looked and acted. Haru has an air of prestige and honor while his brother Leon has an air of danger and confidence. Yume was pleasantly surprised about how friendly Leon was and they turned out to be good friends.

Winter: Winter was surprised about Yume. She met her at the same time as Leon since they visited together. She always had a knack for seeing ghosts and spirits and they can't harm her. When she met Yume, Winter was in awe that a ghost was so friendly as all the ghosts she meets are usually rude and hostile. Yume liked how quiet she was and spilled her life story to Winter. Winter didn't mind as she liked to listen to other's story. (Information gathering am I right?)

Sugar: Also Haru's brother. When Sugar first met Yume, he was scared out his minds and hide behind his confused parent. When he saw Leon and Winter interacting with the ghost and being friendly, he decided to give it a try. Yume tried her best to be gentle and slow with him to make sure she doesn't spook him away. When Sugar finally warmed up to her, their personalities were super similar and became friends almost instantly. Yume loved how different the brothers were.

Soda: Soda introduced himself first. Yume was super nervous as she was scared he would reject her. Soda being the lax kalon he is, accepted her without question.Soda's ability to see ghosts was obviously passed down to his children.

Hunter: He just mainly stood there confused when they first "met" as he could not see Yume. She, of course, tried to introduce herself but Hunter could not hear her at all. Hunter stared at him confused as he saw Soda speak to well nothing. Poor Hunter. He was the only one out of the loop.
