"What's your worst hangover, your best night yet?
Your 90 proof, your Marlboro Red?
The best dang thing you lucked into?
That's easy girl, mine would be you"Ferdinand's Personality.Ferdinand is very responsible, expressive, and quite the friendly bull. He finds verbal expression a natural aptitude, never being at a loss for words. Schoolwork was troublesome through a difficulty in concentrating for long periods of time, and naturally has a preference for creative, inspirational subjects rather than practical ones.
It's usually difficult for him to finish what he starts, but through some motivation and pushing, he may actually finish the task at hand. Ferdinand had an intense desire for sweet and rich foods, so he has a tendency to put on weight easily.
He's clever and quick minded, versatile, generous, philosophical, and inquisitive about life. He's optimistic and often has a run of good luck just when it is most needed. Being very expressive, you would think he would excel in public speaking and debate, however this simply isn't true.
Ferdinand is never at lost for words and can provide a very strong debate if provoked, he prefers to sit back and go with the flow. Unless something occurs that he believes is immoral, and wrong, he usually will mind to his own business. Ferdinand finds it hard to express sarcasm, and he certainly doesn't appreciate the use of it towards him. He feels that sarcasm, in a way, is belittling.
His home environment is active and happy, somewhat disorganized, and full of surprises. There are unfinished products all over the place. Any child feels loved and cared for in Ferdinand's presence. He gives them his upmost attention, and makes everything about them. No one but them is important when he's around.
He's not sure why he's so good with children, but he is. He's always wanted to adopt, but hasen't gotten around to it yet. Ferdinand is quick to forgive and doesn't hold grudges, but he may never trust you again or let you get close if you do him wrong. On the whole he is charming but, on occasion, impatient or intolerant with more practical, sedate acquaintances.
Fun loving, he enjoys bringing people together and welcoming them with his warm hospitality. His sociable, friendly nature allows him to be comfortable with all levels of society and his naturalness and genuine fondness for people draw many to him to create good relationships. It is also the reason he can get away with mischievously poking fun.
He is affectionate and romantic, although his sympathetic nature may lead to emotional entanglements, which he may later regret. There is also an inclination to worry. It's quiet known that Ferdinand has the tendency to be a worry wort. He's always searching for methods that would improve people's lives. Equality and justice are some of the most important morals to him.
He has a positive and self reliant inner nature and is more of a follower than a leader. He's great at pioneering innovative ideas, but it's going through with them that get him every time! He's sensible and resourceful, and he finds a great deal of satisfaction through developing his own business. He likes that he can direct and organize the efforts of people for the general benefit of all concerned.
"Sun keeps shining, back road flying
Singing like crazy fools, making up our own words
Laughing 'til it hurts, baby, if I had to choose
My best day ever, my finest hour
My wildest dream come true, mine would be you"Art:Feral Art.
"Frolicking With The Bees": Even in feral form, Ferdinand's love for bees still stand. He loves to frolic in the fields with his little insect creatures; bucking around with great joy. His career as a bucking bull would have failed; not only are his bucks not hard, but he also loves people. So he wouldn't mind just being laid upon. Poor little babe is so laid back and gentle, he could be nothing more than the gentle pet he is! He resides on a petting zoo where the children are allowed to approach him and pet him. He lets them flop and waller around on him if they so desire, (And most usually do), and he will most certainly take any food they have to offer. There is a sign that says not to bring food with you into his pen because he has been known to take a bite out of whatever you're eating when you're not looking! Every so often, they will throw a saddle and halter on Ferdinand and lead him around, giving rides to little children. It certainly is a sight to see!
Anthro Art.
"Making Wishes": Ferdinand takes great delight in nature. Just wandering around and exploring the wilderness is the best way to spend quality time with him when you're trying to see him at his upmost relaxed moment. Sure, he's a pretty chill guy all around, but he enjoys the occasional stroll through nature more than most realize. His favorite is to take a seat on the ground and just soak it all in, especially if there's dandelions around. No, he's not a naive calf. He realizes that they're not going to make dreams come true, but at times when he gets overwhelmed and is hoping for an escape or a little leeway, he'd like to think so. He loves dandelions a lot, so he makes quite a few terrariums showcasing them. He refuses to grow them because they spread so easily and will kill his other plants, but he does take great delight in the beautiful weed, in general.
"What's your double dare, your go all in?
The craziest thing you ever did?
Plain as your name in this tattoo
Look on my arm, mine would be you"Ferdinand's Business/Store.Ferdinand is a terrarium and flower shop owner who also owns his very own hive of bees that he uses to pollinate his flowers for him. He keeps all flower and terrarium profits for himself, but honey profits go back to the bees by him expanding their 'hives' and giving them more room.
There's not much that you can't find within his little shop, even if he specializes in terrariums and flowers, he still has an array of gardening things. He sells terrariums, regular pots, frost resistant pots, hanging pots, barnacle pots, fiberclay pots, trellises and spheres that hang from your porch, plant stands, potting supplies, anything bird related, water globes, water misters, rain guages, real flowers, faux flowers, real bushes, faux bushes, grow kits, seeds... I could keep going forever!
There's hardly ever a time that you see Ferdinand away from work, and he doesn't have to go far, because it's attached to his home. (Don't worry, he locks the part to the house during the day when his store is buzzing with customers!) He does all work himself and doesn't hire any extra helping hands.
What you see is all of his hardwork. He actually gets quite a few customers. Most of them come back as regular customers after visiting the first time. Ferdinand will admit that he doesn't have the lowest prices, but he has the best quality products and would sell nothing less, so you always get what you're paying for.
His main prize are his Abracadabra roses. They're a deep flourishing red with lemon yellow stripes, have a very mild fragrance, and are thornless. He makes bouquets out of them, but he charges outrageously for them and rightfully so. They're his most prized flowers, and bloom slowly. Even though he charges so much, Furtopians usually don't mind paying the price for them. Especially for weddings and other special events.
Ferdinand has been known to close his shop for a couple of days and travel to flower conventions and flower shows. He not only makes more money than ever, but is also able to enjoy flowers (often exotic) that others have brought. He loves being able to converse with other flower lovers like himself and talk about all things garden related! His friends listen to him when he's talking about flowers and gardening, because they know he loves it, but they have no idea what he's talking about.
So to have true enthusiasts around him who actually know what he's talking about makes him feel great. Not to mention the opportunity to make new friends. He enjoys expanding his circle of friends, particularly ones who don't mind trading one exotic seed for another to expand their gardens! Ferdinand would probably be embarrassed to admit it, but at night before he goes to bed, he hops on his lapbtop and checks out all of his friend's blogs. Their gardening blogs, of course!
He's met so many people from conventions and shows, that he has a paper or two full of gardening blogs to keep up with their garden improvements. He himself doesn't have a blog, but he enjoys taking the time out to look at others for ideas for his own garden, and also just to keep up with his fellow friends. Because he stays so in touch, most of his friends don't mind doing seed exchanges every once in awhile. Ferdinand usually takes delight in such offers and almost always offers a seed or two from his prized flowers in turn for a flower(s) he doesn't already have.
"What's the greatest chapter in your book?
Are there pages where it hurts to look?
What's the one regret you can't work through?
You got it baby, mine would be you"Ferdinand's Hobbies/Favorite Past Times.Yes, you know all about his passion for terrariums, but there's more to this gentle fellow than that. Although he does enjoy building terrariums and they do relieve stress to a certain extent, they're not his true hobby. Even building terrariums can get stressful because of work, so he's gotta have something else to relieve the stress, you know?
Spoon collecting. ( x )
Early made spoons were all made in sterling. So Ferdinand is always sure to watch for sterling marks on spoons. Some may even have a hallmark, or at least the word sterling or the .925 mark. If you are out junking and find old spoons, it's most likely you will find silverplated ones (though you should still always check for sterling marks). Some of the silverplated ones are made on brass blanks, but none of this matters to Ferdinand. His friends swear that it's no longer a hobby, but instead, a hoarding addiction. Regardless to what they say, Ferdinand loves going to flea markets and searching for spoons and spoon holding cases to show hang them on the wall and show them off. He knows exactly how many he has, and counts them each and every time he takes them all down to wash them. Currently, he's at a whopping 123 spoons. He does have a preference, though. He prefers older spoons, not because they're worth more or because they're antique, but because of their texture. They have a slightly different texture, and the engraving on a spoon means everything to him.
Often times, the engraving on the spoon will determine whether or not he will even purchase the spoon. Aside from engraving, his favorite spoons are Alligator spoons. He loves their shapes and the way they look, and can't help but add them to his hoard- I mean collection. His collection may seem out of hand to some, but the way Ferdinand feels about it is quite simple: He takes time to polish them and take care of them, and puts them all in their own holding cases neatly, so how can he be a hoarder? He thinks that to be a hoarder you must be unable to manage your items any longer. So for now, his friends are letting him get away with the title of, "collector," but he may very well end up with, "hoarder" very soon if not careful!
