Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Why?; Fort her entire life, Marzia has been fascinated by these creatures. Her older brother worked at a pet store, but the reptiles always stole this young Kalon's heart. She doesn't like the stereotypes people give snakes; like they're killers and slimy and disgusting. Marzia founder herself liking the scaly beasts, she almost sees them as underdogs and roots for them.

Why?:
Tina's mother was a wildlife rescuer, and has always told Tina a story about a young whippoorwill she rescued and, later, released in the wild. It was before she was born that her mother found the whippoorwill, lost and freezing after having injured her wing in an unknown way while trying to migrate one winter. The whippoorwill was dubbed "Tina" while at the center, and while caring for it Tina's mom met Tina's dad. Thus, upon having their baby, they named Tina after the bird that brought them together. And when her father died, her mother told her he'd return on occasion from heaven to sing her lullabies at night as a whippoorwill. She never quite believed it, but likes to think of it all the same. Tina loves to listen to the melody of the whippoorwill's call at night, although she knows they are hard to see in person, and always feels that they are almost apart of her family. To this day, Tina sits out during long summer nights with a small lantern and book of poetry, to listen to the sound of her favorite animal and relax.

Why?;These glorious birds loom at us out of the darkness, freighted with a rich sense of mystery and, at one time, with a touch of evil. Owls were once seen as dangerous omens and not even Victorian intellectuals could resist the superstition. John Ruskin once announced: "Whatever wise people may say of them, I at least have found the owl's cry always prophetic of mischief." Seeing a bird land on a particular roof was often taken as a sign of impending doom within.

The owl had more than its nocturnal lifestyle to confirm its status as death's messenger-in-chief. All of the British species have binocular vision and suggest, perhaps, what humans might look like were we ever reincarnated as birds. Throw in their absolute silence in flight, the ghostly pale of the barn owl, their predatory habits, their eerie shrieking or moaning vocalizations, which cut through the darkness like an uncloaked dagger, and you have a set of creatures ready-made to inhabit our most cherished nightmares.

She's always loved Newts, most likely because she had some as pets
as a little kid. She had to move sadly, and let them out into the wild.
Ever since that day, she's always wanted to get more pet newts but just..
couldn't. She loves the way how they're so adorable without them being
fluffy. Also the fact that they're so smol, and can just fit in her hand and
she can pet it with one finger. But one of her favourite things about them
is that they can be in land and water without a problem.

When questioned if he's a dog person or a snake person,Aster simply replies with "I'm a snake person".From a very young age he has adored snakes and always brought some tiny or big ones home in his back pocket.He grew up fascinated at how the creatures could move and function without the use of limbs.That's why he loves them so.Aster has gone on to become a snake tamer.He travels around,going to carnivals and such to preform with his pet snakes.

Why?; (200 or less words) Hibiki likes squirrels due to the inside joke he and his classmates had when he was young. Somebody once remarked he looked like a squirrel, and being the class clown he was, he took it in stride and made it into a nickname of sorts. If anyone called to him using his name he would say 'It's squirrel! Don't you know this by now?" and make his classmates laugh and smile, which brought joy to him. Now whenever someone mentions squirrels or he sees one, he is reminded of his classmates and friend, and it always brings a smile to his face.

Blobfish are sort of like one of the mysteries of life, in her opinion.
They are classified as fish, though they don't really.. look like fish?
They're features make them look like they have a sort of humanoid face, with a big fat nose, eyes, and a mouth.
She loves them for their awkward, yet entertaining appearance.
In her lifetime, she has seen one once, not counting online.
She remembers the experience as scary, she was scuba-diving, and then all of a sudden she could see it's appearance.
It scared her, mostly, because it was uncalled for.
That was actually how she found out about them.
In her head, she wishes that others didn't judge the creature, calling it the "ugliest creature ever"
