okay, thank you! I live in a very very small town with less than 800+ people so I'll probably wait to visit a big city lol

Rural areas are kinda getting the short end of the stick right now. I'm near a huge city with a lot of shopping areas so I find Eevees on a regular basis. Forgot to mention that suburban areas also draw Eevees, I see them pop up pretty regularly and I'm in one of those upper middle class family neighborhoods bordering on a business street. Haven't caught many since the footprint glitch though, driving me crazy.

They're also kinda suburban like Eevee. I see them every once in a while where I live but I got a bunch in another suburban area that's your typical families with white picket fences type.

Pokemon are classified by Biome, not geographic location. The game categorizes your area into a list of biomes and that's what you'll find. There isn't a list out there but there's some people reading the code of the game to find it.

personally, Ive found electric types at a large park around a lake and around my neighborhood.
I found the majority of my charmanders at a park next to the ocean.

I know parks are a great place to find almost all types of pokemon, although I don't know exact areas. It's almost random.

I ran into a Raichu at the local mall!! It escaped though... and a pikachu appeared as well! So, if your looking for those kind of pokemon, wait at a stop with a lure module, or go to the mall or places packed with people!!

I missed a CP 540 or so Haunter at Walmart the other day, still bummed about it. Even though there was no pokestop or gym near Walmart there was a ton of high CP / rare pokemon there :Oc
