Andromeda has dual meanings, in astrology and in astronomy. In Greek mythology, Andromeda is the daughter of the Aethiopian king, Cepheus and Cassiopeia. Cassiopeia's hubris (foolish pride) led her to declare that her daughter, Andromeda, is more beautiful than the Nereids, or water nymphs. Poseidon, in his rage, sends Cetus, a sea monster, to kill Andromeda. To save the city, Andromeda is chained to a rock by her neck, but is saved when Perseus kills the monster. So, if you've seen Clash of the Titans, it's the real story behind that movie. Relating to astrology, there is both the Andromeda galaxy and the constellation Andromeda. The Andromeda galaxy is the major galaxy closest to our Milky Way. This spiral galaxy is referred to as the Great Andromeda Nebula in older texts. The galaxy is named for the area in the sky in which it appears - the constellation Andromeda. The Andromeda constellation is one of the 48 constellations listed by Ptomley. It is located close to the celestial equator, and is most prominent during evenings in the Northern Hemisphere. The constellation is visible only north of 40° south latitude, and it is below the horizon for any star gazers further south. With an area of 722 square degrees, it garners a position as one of the largest constellations in our night sky. 722 square degrees roughly computes to over 1,400 times the size of the full moon, a little over half as large as the largest constellation, Hydra, and well over 10 times the size of the smallest constellation, Crux.

Personality: Nyx isn't your ordinary girl, she had always seen the world differently. Nyx would come up with strange stories, people could have horse heads, the main character could fly but not land, etc. She never knew where she got the ideas from, but she does not care much about that. Speaking of not caring much, Nyx is careless in many ways, with a hint of laziness. Dropped a cupcake on the floor? Go clean it up with a towel from the washroom instead of going all the way downstairs to get a proper towel.

Nyx had a different way of describing things, for example, saying 'i saw a purple elephant' would be 'purple elephant i saw.' If she ever ranted on and on about something, it would most likely be confusing since she sometimes mixes up a sentence together or removes some words.

Trying to get to know her for the first time isn't easy. Nyx most of the time wears a blank face, and when in public she turns very, very aloof. Not to mention she is unsocial, but she will only open up to the ones she trusts. Very rarely at school will she talk to anyone other than her siblings. She doesn't have many friends seeing as most see her as strange when she talks and has a mild case of ADHD, but most of the time others see her as sort of... intimidating since when someone looks at her, she stares at them for a while.
