Res
mostly inactive. i've grown out of CS, however, it will always be part of my story and i will always carry fond memories of this site. I have tried many times in recent to become active again, but it has been difficult to find that imaginative and childish spark I once had visiting this site. i wish everyone well and hope that you find fruitfulness on and off of CS <3 thank you for the wonderful 11 years, ciao!

I have been on CS since January 2009, and I think it's time to move on.
I have many fond memories and will still love and cherish the characters I've gained
through closed species, auction, etc. They are my family and will not be going anywhere.

Almost all my pets and all my unlocked items are up for trade for artwork, so if
you are an artist and would love to be commissioned, please send me a message!
I am looking for all sorts of art - feral (canine, feline), humanoid, etc. so feel
free to show me your examples and we can work out something! ^^

Azula (Ah-zoo-lah) Hinata

Female

Bisexual

A little about me
Hi! I'm a current non-owner and drawing addict who loves cats. I'm also a bit of a worrier and redo my writing a lot.

Personality:
Azula is incredibly imaginative and creative, her jobs require it. Able to make up complex worlds on the spot, compelling characters and strong voices, Azula is a storyteller through and through. However, these skills also help her in the real world. After many hours of creating stories without a script, Azula has become a quick thinker in social situations. Instant comebacks/responses, pointing out irony, well placed sarcasm, able to think of things to do with little planning. It makes her a rather fun plumie to be around, and conversations are quite interesting. With all this quick decision-making, there is a downside. Sometimes, Azula doesn’t think over what she is going to say and may not realize the effect of what she may have said until it’s too late.

After putting herself in many different types of characters, Azula can intelligently guess how others are feeling based on their personality and putting herself in their shoes. When meeting a new group, Azula likes to find people she can guess feel a little uncomfortable by imagining herself as them. Are they biting their nails looking at their feet? What personality would that go with? How would I like to be helped if I were like this? This is Azula’s mental checklist.
This can actually work against her quick thinking; she says something, than realizes its effect almost instantly after. This often will break her ‘cool’ as she tries to fix it, stumbling over herself in the process. Depending on the situation, Azula will get down on herself and beat herself up for screwing things up. In stories, things always work out for the main character somehow, but things don't always for her.

Azula is extremely persistent and doesn’t like to drop things that are not fully resolved. From arguments or discussions to things she wants to be done and things she believes in. This can be quite good, as she doesn’t give up on projects, problems, finding out about people need and things like that. However persistence is on a thin scale of when it is too much. Azula is known to push too hard people to hard to learn about them, and sometimes be unable to let things go.

This plumie loves honesty and integrity. She feels that you should always be true to yourself and do the right thing. Azula is always happy to talk and to and stand up for people who she thinks are being shut down by others and are unable to completely be themselves. It also drives her nuts when she sees people lie or cheat on things. In lower school she was often called a tattletale for outing her classmates when they used the science computers to play games. However, this led to her not being a first choice for partner projects. In high school a few of her friends called her a hypocrite for telling everyone to be truthful to each other and themselves, then ‘lying’ to herself about who her sister might be. While it may have just been a rather cruel joke, it hit her hard, causing her to try to push the imaginary sister idea that she had been creating since she was young away. She had kept it to herself before, but these were her friends and she had mentioned it before. Maybe it wasn’t good enough to keep it to herself, maybe Azula had to abandon the idea completely. As she struggled not to have this supportive and caring sister in the back of her mind for a few months, one of her friends decided to speak up. This girl, who had been one of the jokers from before and was similarly good at noticing things, gave Azula a pep talk. This plumie talked about how she thought Azula’s ‘sister’ was a part of her (Azula, not the girl) and that it started Azula on creating characters and stories. Always thinking about who her sister might be wasn’t lying to herself but being herself. Apparently, Azula had been acting off and this girl traced it back to the incident with the joke. These two are now best friends.

History:
[as told by Azula because it came out in first person for some reason]
Before we get to my history, why don’t you hear a bit about my mother’s, well, at least what I know. My birth mother, Milah Jones met my birth father on the first day of her new collage. It was her first year, and Milah didn’t expect much at all. However, a senior took the freshman under her wing and taught her the ways of this new world. But, this girl was on the reckless side and decided to set her pet up with that guy right away. Starting with a bar date and turning in a real relationship (or so Milah thought) Milah believed she would have an easy collage life as long as she kept up her grades. However, when she found herself with twins and the father with a new relationship, things went downhill. She just couldn’t support children, nor was she emotionally ready. She didn’t want to get an abortion as her mother was adopted and quite happy, perhaps she would be able to help a couple who couldn’t have children. Basically, she wanted to help make someone else become a happy parent even if she could not. Before the twins were born Milah spent hours going through many papers of information to pick the perfect parents. Sadly, she was not able to get both of her kids adopted out to the same place, but she was confident that she found good homes. When they were born the green one went to a couple in Washington, while the purple one went to Ohio. I, obviously the green one, was given to Laura Young and Philippe Jacques, an older couple who only had large dogs as children.
Now it is time for my story.
I started my life running around a small house with giant dogs. I loved to see how many pillows I could throw off the couch and then have them catch the pillows in midair. I didn’t have many things to worry about. When you are little and have appointed yourself the leader of your toddler group, have loving parents with a rather steady income and the such, it’s hard to. I knew I was adopted but didn’t think much of it until I was 7 and learned I had a twin sister. How fun was that? She could be anyone! I think I started to make up who she might be only a few days after I learned of her. So, asI went through phases, my imaginary version of my twin did as well. She started as a fairy princess, became a cowboy when I turned 8, moved to Japan to study martial arts when I was 11 and so many more. This was the start of my love for storytelling. I would spend hours telling my parents about her and her adventures. But by the time I entered middle school, I learned that others didn’t want to hear about the amazing sister I had never met. With help from my parents, I decided to keep my sister to myself, but I didn’t want to stop creating and telling stories. One of my teachers, who heard my sister story early in the school year, encouraged me to pursue storytelling and writing. Mrs. Reshia lent me books, taught me advanced words, grammar and plot elements. By eighth grade, with her help, I had entered seven writing contests and gotten second and third place on two of them. This made me very happy and all, but I want to be telling the judges my story, not sending it off for them to read. In high school I lucked out and happened to come on the very year that they got equipment for a high school radio. I joined, helping out as the announcement reader. I guess this boring job was what helped me become more social, as I had spent most of my time in middle school alone or with my teacher. Hanging out with the older plumies in the club, starting to improvise different voices and jokes into the announcements, and people knowing my voice. I started to use improve in daily conversations as well, not thinking to hard about what I was going to say and overall just becoming a pretty lose person. Snappy comebacks became my specialty and my sister started to come back, but in different ways. While giving out announcements, I had discussions with my self in a different voice, creating a steady personality for her, and finally giving her a name. Gracie.
In collage I was delighted to find another radio club and gave the teacher running it some recordings of the announcement time I had done. But the announcement role was already taken and there wasn’t anything else open. I was not giving up. Working on the radio in high school had been my life, I wouldn’t know what to do with my self if I wasn’t working on it! Yeah, that first year I was a little closed minded and stubborn about it. After bugging the club leader about it for weeks they finally gave me 15 minutes after school for reading short stories from the writing club, which I joined soon after. After gaining a small following of after school listeners my time was expanded to half an hour.

So yeah, that’s the basic stuff. A few notes I guess are important to know:
-I was not the best student and had to take summer school quite a few times to catch up. I guess memorizing just wasn’t my thing. I think by late high school to college I had improved and was able to keep up.
-While not talked about here I did (and still do) have problems coping with my sister (see the dream section)
-Emotionally, I’m pretty steady. I have flaws and troubles, but not as bad as I know others have it.

Bahiti:
Azula met Bahiti when the older plumie came to visit her daughter, Azula found Bahiti while shopping in a gift store while both looking through a box of strange tea bags at a small shop. They hit it off right away as they both cracked up over the flavor porridge, Bahiti laughing calmly, Azula belting it out. From there, the two of them became pen pals and Azula started to visit Bahiti in England. They would find a small pastry shop or teashop and talk over things. Sometimes Bahiti gives Azula advice; sometimes Azula tries to suggest crazy pastry ideas.

(I don't know why this picture turned out so blurry and so bad ;-;)

Dolly:
Since Azula is best friends with Dolly’s mom, she would love to be friends her. They are close in age (as Dolly is just a few years older), but Dolly dislikes the fact that a random college student has befriended her mother. Dolly also finds Azula a bit annoying with all her ideas.

Image
Krieg:
Azula and Krieg are always trying to out sass each other. From sarcasm battles to pulling pranks on each other, these two don't want to admit that they just might be really good friends. Conversations may not get very deep or supportive, but they can always make each other laugh. Azula knows she can trust him to cheer her up and divert her from troubles.

(These three belong to Master of Nothing)

Alba Notte, a future friend :

(Azula and Alba Notte meet a few years from where this form takes place)
Azula and Notte met first in a diner, then at a grocery store. Alba was dropping into Azula's town to pick up some supplies for their next journey, and grab some comfort food. Azula was intrigued by this plumie's way of moving about (as she watched them from between the store shelves), almost as if they were about to fly away, and decided to strike up a conversation. Happy to talk, Alba talked a little about themselves, and with a little pushing from Azula, full recounts of 7 of their adventures. When Alba told Azula about their next destination, Azula was happily surprised. Only a few weeks before Azula had found a lead on her sister's whereabouts and Alba's path crossed through that city. Alba didn't want to take Azula with them, for reasons Azula didn't understand, and halfway refused. Azula was then dragged away by a friend. The next day, Alba once again saw Azula at the diner. Azula was telling a friend a draft of her next story and Alba took a bit of an interest. The story seemed to give the plumie a glimpse of what it ment to return home, a place they had not seen in a while. When Azula saw them she invited them to sit down, asked them to take her them, and Alba decided to give her a chance.

Tiauna
Owned by IronicwOrLd
While not the best of friends, Tiana and Azula have been known to chat once in a while. A friend introduced the two of them because they watched a few of the same TV shows, but not because of personalities. They have discussed plots and consistency in canon, but not everyone hits it off at first *shrugs* owo Perhaps in the future they may find common ground.

Mia and Parker
Owned by IronicwOrLd
Azula met Mia and Parker when she was trying to scrap together some extra money to buy a cat. Babysitting was boring unless you found an interesting kid, working at a supermarket required to much commitment, and the next thing to pop into Azula's head was house cleaning. So, she put up an ad for it and Mia and Parker's mother hired her. There was some event in the house, and the mom didn't have time to clean. So, Azula grabbed all the buckets, brooms and brushes her friends had and drove to the house. Azula did the cleaning and also listened to the kids, she couldn't help it. Almost instantly Azula realized how vast Mia's imagination was, and she loved it. Being the think-after-acting plumie Azula was/is, she started to spout ideas and compliments. This caught the younger plumie off guard and she got a little shy, but who wouldn't? Azula composed and checked herself, editing her approach. 1) Apologize. 2) Introduce herself and explain why she was in their house. 3) Make her obsession with creativity and stories make a little sense and go from there. Parker (Mia's brother) mentioned her cleaning before Azula could finish her checklist. Azula blushed and got back to work.
After cleaning in silence for a while she came to a room that seemed to be locked. She tried the knob a few times but it wouldn't budge. "You gotta lift it." Mia had followed Azula. "Huh?" The younger plumie demonstrated and opened the door. "It gets stuck sometimes." After a little talking, Azula started to feel better about being rude, and the two started to find common ground. From their, much to Parker's disapproval, the two became pen pals. Azula has been encouraging Mia to try writing, helped her develop her imagination, and be a kind adult in general. Mia has taught Azula about nature, given her advise for working with younger plumies, her favorite crafts, and ideas for Azula's stories. The whole thing is a little weird, and that leads to Parker, who does not like Azula.
Azula's original outburst has not been forgotten or forgiven by this guy and Azula really hasn't tried to get to know him. Besides humor, they don't have much in common.

A dream she currently has [narrated by her, it feels more fitting]
Okay, let’s get into the cheesy stuff. In most of the movies about split up siblings, each one spends their life feeling like they are missing a part of themselves and goes on an amazing journey to find their twin or brother or sister. I’m defiantly not like that. Because of the whole ‘making up who my sister is’ thing that has been going on my whole life, I don’t feel like half myself or any of that stuff you may here about, but I do dream of finding her, or at least who she is. I found a few basic records of her, I knew she is purple with black feathers and went to Ohio when she was adopted, along with the basic information about my mom that was also on my records, but that was pretty much it. I guess someone wasn’t doing their job right. Oh! The last name of the parents was also there… Green. I put that into Google, but the definition of green and lots of random green stuff came up. I tried the white pages, but not having the address or first name made it impossible, there are so many Greens just in Ohio, not to mention if she moved. I tried some record libraries but didn’t get very far.
For a while, I gave up hope. I spent a while trying to reason with myself. I had such high expectations for her; it wouldn’t be good for either of us to meet. What was the point? We had never met, for all I know she wouldn’t like me.

But… there’s just this feeling that I’ve always had that I need to meet her. I just gotta know how she’s grown up, how we are different, who she is. So, I’m gonna keep looking :3

Sleeping Dream:
No, definitely not. Azula glared at her reflection in the mirror, hesitated and then pulled the hair clip out. It didn’t look right. Her ever-messy hair almost always flopped over her right eye. Having it out of her face and curled seemed so out of place. However, for someone who didn’t care about her appearance, Azula wanted to look good for her friend’s wedding, she owned them that much. But it felt unlike her. Even in the summer, Azula only pulled the back of her hair up, leaving her long bangs. Tossing the clip aside, Azula moved onto her next challenge, the dress. It was light blue with a white pattern, not the worst she had seen. Before Azula could even hold it up to the mirror she heard a commotion outside. Dropping the dress on the counter, Azula peeked out her window. A crowd was gathering around the road next to Azula’s house. A strange feeling spread through Azula’s gut, but she threw a bathrobe on and crept out of her house. Picking her way through the crowd, Azula found the source of the crowd. A plumie in the middle (back turned to the crowd) was standing over a body, a car crashed next to them. The standing one was purple, her feathers black. The one the ground was green, brown hair. Azula inhaled sharply, realizing who the plumie on the ground was. How was that possible? The standing plumie turned, her face almost and exact match to Azula. “There you are.” She said, pushing through the crowd, who seemed to not notice either of them. “Pretty impressive, right? You only lived what, 12 years longer then me?” Azula stared at the plumie; for once she was at a loss for words. The purple girl circled her, the crowd disappearing leaving only the two of them and the body. Placing an arm around Azula’s shoulders, the purple one gestured to it. “You waited just a little to long to find me.” Placing her mouth near Azula’s ear she hissed “So I took it into my own paws”. Azula snapped out of her apparent trance. “What are you talking about!?” She said, pushing the purple one away from her. “Don’t act like you don’t know. You always thought I was perfect didn’t you? So why would I not try to find you, I’m the best sister ever.” The purple one pulled a piece of paper out of her sleeve. “Me and purple, best sisters ever” The purple one read, throwing a crude drawing at Azula. Catching it, Azula saw a picture she had drawn of her and her sister when she was 8. “But I guess we can’t all be perfect. You sure aren’t.” The purple one smiled. In one swift motion she pushed Azula down, next to the body. “I went looking just a little to young. You lucked out with parents and I didn’t, I went looking for you. Being the stupid child I was I tried to walk. Then that was it.” Azula began to cry, not able to form words. “But now we can be together. You always wanted that, didn’t you.”? The purple one stopped smiling. “Oh wait…” She let go of Azula. “No, no you didn’t. I recall you saying your expectations were so high that you were afraid of being disappointed.” The smile returned. “Well, you should be disappointed.” With that, the purple one began to laugh. Azula scrambled away, and started to run.

“Hah… hah…”
Azula’s eyes snapped open as a paw was placed on her forehead. “Zuli? Are you alright?” Azula’s roommate was looking down at her, worriedly. Azula sat up quickly. “One moment…” Azula rushed to the window, looking for a crashed car. Nothing. “What day is it?” Eva (her roommate) raised an eyebrow. “May 4th.” The wedding wasn’t for another few weeks. It was a dream. Breaking her often honesty persona Azula forced a smile. “Just a bad dream. What’s for breakfast?”

(This should say Occupation/Characters... but I forgot what font I used... Xo)

Job:
When this form takes place:
Azula has a part time job as a receptionist at a hotel. Yeah... while she may spend a lot of time telling stories, she has not been able to get a job doing it. On down time her boss lets her study for tests and do homework, but she has to be ready for people to come in. Azula is currently a major in Communications and minors in Comparative Literature and Creative Writing (I guess she likes the letter C...). When she needs a little extra money, Azula has been known to clean houses.
Later in life:
Azula voices characters for TV shows, movies, video games and reads for audio books. She's considered branching out to performing as herself, but feels more comfortable behind the microphone. She's in the process of co writing a show that she hopes will air soon

Characters:
Throughout her time on the radio, Azula has created some consistent characters that pop up every few times in between new characters.

Gracie:
Gracie often pops up as a sidekick, guide or best friend (or someone like that), always having the same voice and personality. Her name changes sometimes, but avid listeners can tell who it is. Only some people know Gracie's origins and her importance to Azula. The hardest time Azula had telling a story was when Gracie, playing the protagonist's older sister, died. Azula hadn't read through the whole script when she assigned her leads and was unprepared. It had been a late night and she had pushed the reading back as she worked an extra shift. Azula felt stupid afterwords, not understanding why she barely kept it together.

The Bar tender:
Often popping up as some sort of a shop keeper, this big fellow has his life in order, and is ready to help others order up their own. Azula seems to like him for some reason and developed this persona based on how she feels when she completes a to-do list. It's a confident and pleasant feeling and so is the character.

Weird friend:
This character is based off stories from Azula's father. He works as a bookkeeper at a school and loves bringing home tales of the principal's craziness. Many of Azula's characters are based on people she doesn't directly know, this is easier then basing them on her friends or family. Anyway, her father's boss creates a lot of strange drama which Azula channels into a younger character. Stealing coffee mugs, leaving paper cranes in piles everywhere, little things like that.

The techie:
One of the few exceptions to what's stated above ^, this character is based off Azula's roommate. A computer nerd and avid juice box drinker who likes to give good advice, Azula's roommate loves that she is used, especially if her character turns out to be evil in some way.

These are just a few ^-^

A dream they had:
The grass felt cool underneath my toes as I sat on a hill, the sun was going down now.
My nose caught the smell of pollen as it did each time while I was on the hill, the smell of spring filled my lungs, I felt alive in this snip of a moment.
I felt someone's hand clench mine surprised I turned to find another plumerian that I didn't know.
