I think the purpose of this adopt is to get new people into the community. Not really how many referrals you have, but that you got more people into the community. At the same time I'm not bears, so I don't know. I'm not trying to answer the question for bears either, I just know some of you are going a bit overboard in referrals for my opinion. Which is fine, you do what you want to do c:
I was also bringing it up because I know people in the past from other adopts had gotten upset because they referred like 15 people and the person who won the adopt only referred like 5 people. So just be wary of that, I don't want to see that happen here.

Alright, I was just curious because it seemed like players with fewer friends on the game would be at a disadvantage if the adopt was mostly judged on referrals.

guys i think it is on number of referrals - this is a marketing strategy and this is not the first species, or the last, to use it. honestly i think it's incredibly smart on the part of the species owner's part, because it gets more people into the species because that is the point.
and just because someone has a lot of friends does not mean they will win - try putting it in your signature or something if you're that concerned. if it is a referral contest, then it is a referral contest - a way to get people involved.

not gonna lie it's a bit selfish to complain about it when the purpose is to get people involved in the species...

edit;; plus making it a referral contest then giving it to anyone but the person with the most referrals makes it incredibly unfair, because that makes all their work for nothing.

I agree. I think it is an awesome idea and do not want to sound like I am complaining at all. I was just curious.

I'm just going to leave it and let bear's properly answer.
I'm not complaining either, I just wanted to inform people earlier that having the most referrals doesn't necessarily mean you win it. I don't want bears to have to deal with a bunch of... a mess because someone is upset they didn't win when they had the most referrals.

Thanks to everyone who has referred someone this species has gained some traction, which makes the community bigger, and in turn gives the artists more of an incentive to make more adopts for you guys.
