Tinge is sad, but not for himself.
He has the power to feel what others are feeling and can't quite control it yet. He can feel the sadness of other cats, the shame when they have failed a hunt, but also the pride when they are praised for doing something good for the castacombs.
He isn't too sure who is sad or why, but he can feel it. It almost breaks his heart whenever he can feel someone else's pain and at times it is too much for the young tom to bare.
He wishes he had a different power. (100 words exactly)

That's Why He's Always Crying When It Rains, Because Of His Lost Sister.

Norwin, leader of Tribe Autumnheart, pushed through the entrance leaves and stood as his gaze adjusted.
Tinny knew he was there, but didn't speak.
Norwin padded up and mewed, "Tinny, my dear, why so sad?"
Tinny sighed as Norwin came and sat beside her.

"It's just - I can't save them all, you know? Every sick or injured cat. Somecat dies every day. I just wish I could prevent them from dying. Maybe then I'd be happy."

Lysander is sad simply because he is. Now and then, he just gets in an unshakeably sad mood, and he just has to wait until it passes. When he gets this way, all he really wants is someone to talk to or sit with - it only makes it worse when they try to fix it or keep suggesting "cures."
