      hound name: Aurora
      coloration: red urajiro
      sex: Female
      age: 6 years
collar color: Worn our red with rose gold buckles
      Job:
Aurora is a seeing-eye dog or also known as a guide dog.
She started training when she was seven-weeks-old. When she started training she immediately fell in love with it. Growing up knowing that one day she was going to be assigned to someone she will be able to help gave her a wonderful feeling inside. She just couldn't wait to meet her forever human, every day she got more anxious and more impatient. Fourteen months seemed to take a lifetime. Then she finds out she has to do six more months of formal training! When was she going to meet her forever owner?

Before her name changed she went by the name of Millie since it means 'hard worker' and she's definitely a hard-working pup for sure. Her owner renamed her Aurora since it's the name of the goddess of dawn and its a soft-sounding name. Her nicknames are Rora or Dawn. When she was introduced to her new owner, Asa, they were perfect for each other. They connected immediately and created a fast and unbreakable bond. Aurora knew she was going to do her owner justice.

Of course, Aurora and Asa had to go through training together so they can learn each other. Training is just as important to the owner as it is to the dog. Asa got to learn how Aurora will be assisting them and Aurora got to learn how to help Asa in ways that she wasn't originally trained to do due to every person being different with their needs. Now they both live happily in the UK helping one another in their own special ways. Aurora doesn't regret a thing and is very happy she got to become a guide dog.

hound name: Jupiter
coloration: red urajiro
sex: Male
age: 2yrs
collar color: Red
Job:
Jupiter is a psychiatric service dog specifically task trained to mitigate/manage his handler's anxiety, disassociation episodes, and panic attacks. He also offers medical aid for low blood pressure.
While his job deals with helping mental illness, he's not to be confused with an ESA or therapy dog, his comforting presence alone isn't his only perk as he is task trained for his individual handler - tasks such as Deep Pressure Therapy to help calm the nervous system, guide work to help navigate crowds or find and exit when his handler isn't in the right mind to do so herself, and propping up legs to help blood flow prior to standing up just to name a few.
In the case of passing out due to low blood pressure, Jupiter will lay on his handler and lick her face to help her regain consciousness and can go find another individual for help when needed, guiding them back to where his handler is. A few others are 'blocking', switching light switches on/off, bringing water, etc.

Jupiter helps his owner gain independence and confidence where she otherwise wouldn't have any, and as a young dog has only recently graduated his task training. Still, he has a long road or work ahead of him, as training a dog is never fully done and as his owner's conditions change over time his tasks will be adjusted as needed alongside them.

He adores his job, he is completely dedicated to his girl. Jupiter is practically the poster child of "velcro dogs," but not due to his own anxiety - rather, it's his sworn duty. He's eager to learn the next best thing to help, and plans to work his full 8 years to retirement. But his life isn't all work, he has a lot of fun just hanging out off'duty with his handler at parks, the lake, or even just hanging out at home cuddles up on the couch watching a nice show.

Job: Scoops works as a sniffing dog, as well as for search and rescue.

Scoops laid next to his handler at the park's entrance dozing, it was a slow day at the park, few incoming people meant that he didn't have much to do. He relaxed as a slight breeze pushed through the checkpoint, it was a nice day out, a hint of rain lingered in the air, it was the wet season after all.

Suddenly, the walkie-talkie on the handler's belt sprung to life with noise, this meant work and excitement! Scoops handler picked up the walkie and responded before telling Scoops, "Let's Go!." The jogged side by side in the car, Scoops knew what this meant, even before he was told.

Scoops and his handler were filled in on the information as they drove the Jeep deeper into parklands. Much of the time search dogs are used to find animals that went missing from a herd this time, however, there was a missing child, a six or seven year old boy, near a river. Rescues during the wet season are always tougher due to rains washing scents away, and hazards such as deep mud.

Scoops jumped out of the vehicle as soon as they arrived at the last known location, immediately he noticed small, muddy shoeprints in the mud along the riverbank. His handler held an article of clothing out for him, "Smell," he commanded. At the words "Go find it!" Scoops took off, following the invisible scent trail left behind from the boy.

As the path led away from the river the physical tracks were lost, but Scoops had no trouble following the trail. As he got closer to the young boy, Scoops began pulling harder and harder on his leash. He climbed over the peak of a hill and, on the other side, a large, shady tree could be seen, with a young boy sitting beneath it, curled up scared.

Scoops slowly padded up to the boy, nuzzling the boy's cheeks, which were wet from tears, he gently licked them away before laying down next to him. The boy's parents ran down the hill, relieved to see their son. The child hugged Scoops before being taken to a first-aid vehicle to be checked for injuries. Scoops wagged his tail as his handler petted him, telling him "Good boy!" and giving him treats for his good work. Not every day may be as exciting as this, but he wouldn't trade it for anything.

hound name: Kai
coloration: red urajiro
sex: Male
age: 6 years
collar color: Brown leather w/silver buckles
Job:
Kai is my psychiatric service dog as well as a therapy dog. He's incredibly affectionate and sensitive to even minor changes in someone's mood, so becoming a psychiatric service dog felt like a great choice for him. He specializes in helping people with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. He's worked very hard to detect and respond to any episodes that I may have. Before he began training, he was constantly bored, which led to him being destructive. Once he had a job that required his full focus, he seemed very happy, and seemed to get a bounce in his step!

When Kai is not working, I like to bring him to schools, nursing homes, and hospitals to visit those there. He gets so excited when he sees kids in the school and hospital run up to give him pets and cuddles, as well as the laid-back atmosphere in nursing homes where he can just lay on the couch on his back and get belly rubs.

He really loves both of his jobs with me, and I have seen such a difference in his mood and behavior since starting them. I think he also really loves seeing that he's made me happier and healthier by doing his job. Together, we're a perfect pair.
