Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

Competition: A dog’s tug-rope toy. No one is entirely sure of where it came from, whether a barn dog dropped it within reach of her stall, or if it simply made its way to her by some random chance. Everyone does know, however, that it’s her most prized possession, and she won’t go far without it. She always makes sure to bring it out to pasture, ever happy to share it with her playmates out in the grassy fields. She’s also been known to throw temper tantrums if it doesn’t ride along with her to her next show or riding trip. Her favorite game to play is tossing it into the aisle towards anyone who passes her stall, pawing expectantly at her bedding until it’s returned to her again.

Regulars at the barn have learned to keep their zippers away from her unless they're looking to show off her playful side.

Her giant soccer ball! Most of the others in the pasture barely bat an eye at the large, soft ball, but Taika cannot be pulled away from it. She rarely ends up playing alone, however, because her favourite pastime is tossing it over the fence to whoever is nearby, horse or human, and whines until they end up getting it back to her... Until she passes it over again!

Competition: Vio (v-eye-oh) sat in the outdoor pasture, gazing upon the rolling hills of green grass all around her for miles. At first, this grassland overwhelmed Vio, all of the things she had ever dreamed of all open for her. She felt a fly bite at her skin, and turned her head to nip at it, and saw her scar. She remembered the dark time when she was stuck in that dreaded stall, soiled bedding up to her knees... She remembered she would not be allowed to eat for days at a time, with minimal water. The jailer who kept her there would take her out and ride her, only to beat her senselessly for being lame.

At night she sat in her cell, dreaming of the things her mother whispered in her ear when she was a foal, of the endless blue sky, of the seas of grass and the whispering wind... and one day, the barn door opened to show a different silouette than her jailer. She was brought out and shuffled on a large moving metal box... Vio was scared, but two things stopped her from attacking the new jailer, one, she did not have the energy, and two, there was a look in this new jailer’s eyes that made Vio relax a little. This jailer’s eyes were not hard, like her old jailer, but soft and kind, like her mothers. she did not know it at the time, but she was on the road to recovery. Now, sitting in this pasture, 1 year after the metal box took her away, she realized something.... she was lonely.

She loved the scenery and lack of physical pain, but she wanted a friend. The new handler (Vio felt that jailer was inappropriate for this new person) was friendly and all but could rarely come out to visit. That is when Vio noticed something, in the distance, against the sea of green, was a colored speck of unnatural orange. Vio took off galloping towards the new color, and slid to a stop as soon as she could make it out. In front of her was a little orange rubber thing. As she walked warily forward, she smelled the scent of dog from it, and nudged the thing. The scent of dog was old, and the thing was in a somewhat tough shape.

Vio thought it reminded her of the time when a dark damp stall was her home, this rubber thing was abandoned, like she once was. Vio felt that she needed to take care of it, like how her handler took care of her. She mouthed the orange thing and softly took it back to her shack.
