genetics fun fact: That the traditional BB means brown eyes, Bb means carries blue eyes, and bb means blue eyes is only correct in the most simplest terms because there are actually multiple genes that control eye color in humans. Also rolling your tongue is not genetic but learned!

genetics fun fact: Two humans typically share around 99.9% of the same genetic material. It's the 0.1% of the material that makes them different.
Good luck everyone!!
Going through a rough time right now, trying to stay active in trades but I might answer slowly, I apologize!

genetics fun fact: the location of an animal's limbs on the body is determined by a rather simple set of genes. To simplify, there's a gene that says "this is the head", one that says "this is the torso", another that says "this is the abdomen", etc. Then, of course, some scientists had fun with these genes, and they manipulated some animals' DNA to activate these genes at the wrong place. This resulted in a fly having legs on its head, only because the gene for the legs location was artificially activated in the head

Congrats to Seiden for this one! I’d actually heard of this before in school, but I had no idea the genes could be activated to develop body parts where they aren’t supposed to. I had a very hard time picking the winner, everyone had a fact that taught me something, so thankyou for participating!
