Euphorian Thoroughbred #E026

Postby gr3ystones » Fri Aug 30, 2019 8:21 am

Welcome to the Fallen Oaks Farm event!
It is here that an illegal Euphorian Thoroughbred breeding operation was shut down by local authorities. All of the mares, stallions, and of age foals are in need of homes. There will also be some mares that still have their foals that need to be taken care of. Euphorian lovers from all over have come together to get homes for all of the animals. They've brought giant trailers and are ready and waiting to bring home a bunch of new faces. But before adopting, they must visit the trailer parking site.

Sometimes it's hard to understand why one does what they do.
For this filly, life was rough. From the get-go, she had a hard go at life. She grew up dealing with the consequences of generational gene skipping. Her parents were of average height. Her grandparents were tall for their breed. And she got cursed with long legs, unlike her parents and all the foals who surrounded her. Her mother nearly died giving birth to Clover, due to her larger size.
She was raised by another mare, who had started fostering a foal after losing her own. But growing up with friends proved to be one hard task to accomplish.
She'd try everything to fit in. Always tried sharing. Always let everyone go first. Always used manners. Never talked unless she was spoken to. Never interrupted. Never did anything wrong, but it never failed: they consistently went out of their way to bully poor Clover. Made fun of her, pushed her into mud puddles when they were all let out of the stalls after a storm. Always ate everything before she could manage to eat, so she had to be separated from the group to have her own meals.
She tried everything, but the foals just never let up. Those long legs made her life miserable.

Show Name: Dancing With The Wind
Barn Name: Domais
Age: 5
Discipline: Eventing
Halter: Dusky Rose
Competition:
Ever since she was a young foal, Domais was the weakest of them all. About a month after her birth, Domais developed a severe case of hypothermia, and her owner just knew she wouldn’t pull through. However, one day when he entered the barn, he found that she had shook off the sickness and was wobbling around her stall, nickering softly at her mother.
Eventually, Domais regained her strength, but she was still much weaker than the other foals her age, and they knew it. She couldn’t run as long, or jump as high, and she tired out much faster than they did. Soon, the others began to see her as less than them, and when they weren’t completely ignoring her, they were picking on her: nipping at her sides in passing and knocking her around when she tried to join them as they played. This continued for a while until her owner finally noticed, and he decided to sell the foal to another farm in the hopes that she would fare better there. This is how she arrived at the Fallen Oaks Farm.
Things at the new farm were no better for her. The others noticed her quiet, submissive attitude, and how she could never quite keep up with them, and they quickly picked up the habits of her former barn mates. However, Domais was well versed in the practice of hiding from her fellow foals in the hopes of avoiding their torment, and while she couldn’t hide from them every time (thus the bite marks and bruises), she managed to keep away from them for the most part.

Barn Name: Silkie
Age: (when fully grown)
Discipline: Pole Bending
Halter: Purple

Competition:
Human children of any way of life can be incredibly cruel for no good reason, they take a dislike to another child and suddenly? That child's life is hell. The children of animals usually bully those that are weaker than themselves but when it came to Silkie? There was no obvious reason as to why the other foals chose to pick on her. She was a little younger than most of them but she put out as good as she got in a fight. And yet still they chose her as their target, so they lashed out. Biting and kicking as hard as their little hooves and teeth could possibly manage.

Despite all the terrible actions of the other foals? Silkie proved time and time again that she was better than them in every way. She became craftier, using their blind actions against them. That only served to fan the flames of her determination so that she never gave up the fight.
Unless I post somewhere, I'm not selling/trading closed species critters.
