Pyrenean Wolfhounds are a breed recently discovered roaming the Pyrenees mountains, by a group of hikers. These hikers found a small pack of the breed and brought it to the attention of local scientists, who have deliberated and decided that these dogs originated from the Russian Wolfhound, or as they’re more commonly referred to, the Borzoi. Their theory is that a small group of them was released- perhaps escaping from a campsite or home- or a crashed truck. Over quite a long time, the dogs began to adapt slightly, and develop a hardy body, equipped with grippy paw pads that allowed for them to scale the mountains more easily. Despite being feral dogs, they have cheerful, friendly personalities, and are now open to being adopted out to homes. Although they’re quite a rare sight, scientists have begun to breed them and they’ve become a favorite among families and singles alike.

favorite season: Aspen's favourite season had to be Winter. The coziness of sitting in front of the fire when the temperature dropped sparked he love for the season. Jumping through in the deep snow was a challenge, yet something she enjoyed. Instead of a Christmas Dinner, Aspen would be treated with a portion of chicken so she didn't miss out, her favourite meal. She'd wait for Christmas Day and would always be spoilt with treats & toys, which she would go and bury and avoid them from being taken. However, her least favourite part about Winter was the shorter days. She strongly disliked the dark and to her disappointment, the amount of sunlight was limited in the winter and the night would always engulf the day too quickly for Aspen's liking.

As he loves to go hiking with his owners in the mountains of Holland, he loves hearing the satisfying crunch of the leaves under him and chasing squirels and birds as they scavenge for materials to prepare for winter. He loves that sharp cold weather, but not to unbearable like the winter weather. He also loves the fresh autumn smell in the air. Louie's first memories were made during fall. He was born late summer and to this day his happiest memory was the day he met his Human. It was early Fall and all the pups were corralled in a make-shift pen in the backyard. Louie was playing with the dried brown and yellow leaves that fell from the oak tree surrounding the pen when he heard her voice. It was a voice cracked and dry as the leaves he chewed on, but no less sweet and kind. His Human, Martha, was the elderly lady at the end of the street. She'd had her eye on this litter from the beginning, getting in her daily "exercise" by walking up and down the street to catch a glimpse of the puppies. She even went as far as bringing baked goods to her neighbors for an excuse to pop in and see the little wolfies. Now she was here and creaking down on her knobby knees to bring tiny Louie to her lap. He gave her kisses all over her face while she put on the hand-made vest she knit for him.

Fall was the relief after the hot summer. When he got to sport his hand-made vests and nap at his Human's feet while she sipped tea on her porch. It was the smell of dried leaves all over the lawn and getting stuck in his long coat when he rolled around. This season will always be the trigger for so many happy memories. When his first Human was still with him and life was cozy.

It always smells very nice and like flowers, which makes him happy. The little humans love it too! His favorite sweater is a baby blue yarn with a black and white penguin with a scarf. The little humans like that one too!
