Jay Bird: Blue JayLike their cousins, the Steller Jay, they are mainly blue in color! Stellers are often mistaken for blues due to the similarity in colors. I've always been a Blue Jay fan! My favorite colors are shades of blue and seafoam. As a child I would get excited about seeing them, but sadly we mostly have Stellers. Blue Jays are a rare sight in my state because they are small whereas Steller Jays are much bigger and easier to spot. You'd think with all of our small finches we would see more Blue Jays. Guess not xD

Jay Bird: Scrub Jay
I love Blue Jays and for a while they were my go to for favorite, but I would have to say the Scrub Jay holds a special place for me. I grew up with the Western Scrub Jay as we weren't in the region for Blue Jays {Everyone called them 'blue' jays tho}. I thought they were quirky fun little birds and I often got to see them on my way to school. When I volunteered at an animal rescue one of the main things I did was work with young Scrub Jays. They were always a laugh cause they would either sit with you calmly or try and act tough in which they did this little bowing motion and flap their wings. Though not as big as the Stellar's Jay we have in the higher elevations they are equally as smart and it was always interesting to see what these guys would get into before and after we released them.
