how do they view family?// she only really likes her sister, sunset. her mother had passed away and her father was not very nice to her. when her sister was old enough to move out, sunny came with her. she now doesn't really know how her father is and is happy with her sister.

how do they view family?// Murdoch is the backbone of the family. He is always making sure everyone is okay and safe at all times. He has two younger brothers that he is always watching out for and very protective over. He won't let anyone harm a hair on their heads ever. Murdoch is also a momma's boy and is the favorite of the family. He is very spoiled and gets what he wants.

Murdoch really loves the ocean, especially canoeing. He loves the swaying of the waves and the calmness of nature. He normally goes out in the mornings so he can watch the sunrise.

how do they view family?//
Horizon sees her family as the ones she can fully trust. Whenever she has a problem that is taking over her common sense, she always goes to them and gets their opinion. Sometimes they'll all fight, but Horizon quickly patches things up and apologizes for her actions. Even when they annoy Horizon to death, she still tries to watch what she says back.

She is especially close with her older sibling, Koyuki. They often stay up late in Horizon's room, either watching Netflix or sharing puns that they think are hilarious. When their parents come and check on them, they quickly crawl under the covers of Horizons bed and try not to laugh. Horizon may seem intimidating, but her heart is pure gold and she cares about her family very much.

how do they view family?//

Gabor does not consider family to be a blood-bound thing. In fact, he believes that blood-ties mean nothing; there's not a person in the world with whom he feels a connection just because he shares their DNA. Likewise, he in no way thinks that there should be special obligations between two people because they were born into the same gene pool. If you're a jerk, you're a jerk. Period. He won't grit his teeth and deal with you simply because you're his 'brother'. He won't let his 'mother' insult him just because she laid his egg. Instead, he'll write anyone who proves to be toxic out of his life without a second thought, just as anyone else would do with a perfect stranger.

Don't get the wrong idea though! Gabor considers family to be one of the most important things in his life! He just thinks that 'family' is a connection earned, not something that's granted automatically. Therefore his family is made up of individuals he feels he can trust implicitly, and individuals he loves. His sisters and brothers are irreplaceable friends who are closer than close. His parents, uncles, and aunts are older Komos he got to know over time and now looks up to. Of course some of his family members are his actual family members. But not all of them. Patkin is a good example: Gabor considers them to be his sister, and does his best to act as a good brother should, even going out of his way to help and support them whenever their phobia gets the best of them. Yet they're not even vaguely related by blood. He does this because he loves them.

Gabor thinks his version of family is more special and more binding than any simple blood connection could be.

how do they view family?// kaphne views family as her friends. she doesnt have a lot of them, but the ones she does are held close. so close that kaphne once almost lost her life trying to save a fellow komo in a mesa one night on a stroll. her friend slipped on some loose rocks, causing her to fall, but kaphne caught her with her teeth and dragged her back up to safety. she doesnt let anyone bully her friends and she always looks out for them, even if its dangerous. her friends are her family.
