Why do they wear what they wear:
Erin didn't wear the cape because she wanted to, at first. She was part of the village where Peregrine lived, two years after he disappeared- she went looking for him. They never spoke, nor had closeness of a friend, but she was still worried. It was not normal for Peregrine to disappear and not come back. Being an adventurer at heart, she knew the directions, and how to track prints. Eventually she located the mountain where she believed the viscet have gone off to, but once she had climbed the mountain, she heard voices engaging in a conversation. It was not a friendly conversation, and she could recognize one, belonging to Peregrine. With her pawmade bow ready, she jumped to side in front of the cave. To her surprise, the viscet that also oddly appeared in, then flew away years ago was there. An gigantic winged viscet, only one of his kind, and smaller, familiar viscet next to him.
"Let him go! You have no reason to keep anyone captive! Peregrine did nothing-" she stopped once she took notice of mentioned viscet's expression, a fearful one as if he was afraid for her life. Before she knew it, the winged viscet was already up close, the impact of his movement sent her down against the ground. She looked up, adopting the same fearful look.
"How dare you storm in, thinking you can tell me, Sigmind Aldenure what to do," he began, crushing the bow beneath his paw, "thinking you can threaten me with your measly bow?"
"N-no, I'm sorry, I just, sorry! Don't hurt me, please!"
"Don't hurt you?" Sigre repeated, easily picking Erin up by scruff of her neck, "after learning of your intention to hurt me?"
The viscet clung onto Sigre's arm for safety soon as she realized she's being dangled off the edge, and she'd potentially die if he dropped her. She could see Peregrine sitting behind him in the cave obediently, but also afraid, as if he wasn't allowed to save her.
"If you want to forgive me, find me a sheep to eat. I'm sure you can do with arrows alone, then I'll let you live. We'll move on and be friends, yes?"
Erin, too overwhelmed by the risk of dying, nodded her head fervently, ignoring Peregrine shaking his head.
When she was let go on the ground, she ran for her life to the nearby farm with one arrow clutched in her paw tightly. She knew the owners, her parents traded goods with them all the time, but she had no choice. She lunged onto the first sheep she saw, burying the arrow into it's neck as it flailed. Tears begun to flow as the sheep fell lifelessly, she picked the limp corpse up, carrying it back to Sigmund. It took longer due to the weight, and he was becoming afraid that he'll hunt her down if she took forever, so she carried herself faster as she could.
Finally, she finally got there. She laid the corpse down in front of waiting viscet, completely exhausted and teary. She never wanted to kill an animal, but she was so afraid of this viscet. Whatever he could, he could if he willed himself to do so, seeing Peregrine proved that.
"You did good," Sigmund began, picking up the sheep like it was nothing, turning it over in his paws, "I've lost my appetite, although, but I appreciate the work you've put into obtaining this for me."
Erin could only nod her head, then she felt large paw on her head, taking it as a simple head pat. That simplicity turned into a weird tingle throughout her body, as if something was being sucked out. She couldn't fight back, or even move, she could only lower herself down onto the ground upon his pushing.
"Erin Mayfie, you will serve me, Sigmund Aldernure for long as we live. I shall turn you into my warrior, whom purpose is to protect and serve me."
When she was able to, she rose only to see a red orb resembling a water ball defying gravity being pushed into an orb with beating heart inside. She shot Peregrine a quick look, whom was clutching at his chest with sorrowful look.
"I have taken your empathy, if you're wondering, in order to turn you into my flawless warrior. You shall wear this sheep as a reminder of your first kill. Lamb, are you ready for our future, together?" Sigre shoved the sheep over to his new warrior with satisfied look on his face.
Erin stay silent, staring at Peregrine as she wondered what would happen if he defied Sigmund in order to save her? Would they both die? She could only wonder about her future next, will she become a husk that only cared about following orders?
"Wonderful, I'll take that as a yes. I will prepare the sheep for you, you would like the horns on it, wouldn't you? You will be known as ruthless warrior with the horns, I promise!"
