My 50th Fae as a GA for this month, I've had this noodle planned since day one as the grand finale.

- Cocoa has a stuffed cow that she carries everywhere. Its name is Mr. Moos and its one of the things she find comfort in when she is upset. It was given to her grandpa when she was born and it has never left her side sense.

- Cocoa is a very personal mare. She loves having her quiet time/alone time. She is a very sweet mare And she hardly ever gets in trouble( there was this time when she got scared, I think it was on the week she came to the ranch. Anyway she got spooked by a fox I think, well it was some kind of small furry animal lol but she got spooked and went crazy and blew a hole in the fence. Let's just say we couldn't find her until the next day and couldn't fix the fence until the next week. ) but she doesn't do that anymore. She loves helping when others get out of line. She loves helping on round uup and cattle drives, she loves catching stranglers and bringing them back to the herd it give her a sort of power you could say.

the first strike is the strongest:
At first impression, Damini is an easy Fae misinterpret: young, cocky, and energetic, he's a natural flirt and an amazing showman. When he steps into the arena, all eyes are on him and he knows it, and it's not because of a bright or flashy coat. He exudes confidence and charisma, seeming to feed off the cheering and adoration of the crowds, as if he had no need for physical nourishment. He lives for the thrill of winning, for being the underdog of competition and shocking everyone when he takes the gold. He relishes attention and praise, ignores negativity, and always seeks out the good in others. Damini loves to help others when he's not competing or training, and will go out of his way to do good in the world.

but where lightning strikes twice:
In reality, though, if you take the time to really get to know Damini, you'll find an entirely different Fae lurking underneath that obnoxious, fun-loving exterior. It's a Fae that is burdened by deep-rooted social anxiety, paranoia, and self-esteem issues. Since he was a young foal he's worried about his appearance, how he comes across to other, how he's regarded as a member of the herd and stables... He spends more time worrying than anything else, and if you know what you're looking for, it's actually quite easy to notice (even though he'll doggedly deny it if anything is said to him). Antieros has tried in the past to make sure he was alright, but Damini just laughs it off with his signature smirk; so, Antieros tries to help bolster his self-esteem before competitions to help ease that anxiety. Since he turned from awkward yearling into fine young stallion, Damini's anxiety has slowly declined and his esteem risen, since now in a new place away from his parents and breeder he's able to flourish and show everyone who he is, and not live under their shadow.

it leaves formations in fulgurite:
Wherever lightning strikes, it leaves a mark; with that much power an energy, you'll always know where a bolt has hit. It's the same with Damini; his energy is so powerful and infectious that you know where he's been. If we trace his thread back to the beginning you could learn some interested things about this stray bolt...

Damini was born in a massive expanse of valley, to a long line of royal bloods known for their bright vibrant coats and exquisite patterns. His parents were tamed, making him one of the first few captive-bred Fae to grace the competition circuit, like his sire. His mother was sickly, and unable to fend off predators in the wild due to her frailness; she was barely able to carry a foal. He was born under the safety of a stable roof to a loving father and mother, but to a disappointed breeder. His sire was a smoky black, with such an intense red color to his dark coat that he almost shone red in the sunlight. Tiny white spots laid sparse across his coat; birdcatcher spots, the breeder had called them. He was mated to a lovely cremello appaloosa, Damini's mother, who had a rare calcium deficiency that required a special diet to combat. The breeder had hoped for a bright palomino, or something bright and beautiful; and while Damini was beautiful, it wasn't what he wanted. He hadn't realized Damini's mother had been a champagne, which was a nice surprise, but it did not make him happy. He complained about the colt "being the color of mud dusted with snow". So Damini, named Azibo at the time, grew up with that hanging over his head and being spat and taunted by the other foals for lacking their bright and flashy coats. From this stemmed his paranoia, his anxiety, and his drive to do whatever it takes to win. Honorably, of course.

a fashionable sense:
Damini loves to be groomed and preened for a show, and adores nothing more than stepping out into the spotlight looking his very best. His tack sets are flashy and eye-catching, much to Antieros' dismay, and he knows he looks good when he's all dressed up.

allies in force:
Since he's so new to Amethyst Ridge, Damini hasn't had time to properly meet everybody and make a lot of new friends, though we have no doubt that he will fit in here just fine. Here are a few ARR members he's already made quick friends with, and we hope to watch this list grow quickly.

Antieros; Antieros was Amethyst Ridge's first Fae inhabitant, a very serious competitor with no time for tomfoolery, and he lets Damini know it quite often. They were not close at all until Antieros fell ill with an infection of Vibrio,and suddenly Damini became Mr. Nurse and helped the staff keep watch on the buckskin stallion all throughout his illness. After that, Antieros got to know the real Damini, and now they're inseparable. They travel together, compete together, and share a pasture. Anti still gets annoyed with Damini and his antics every so often, and might aim a light nip his way if the dark stallion gets too rambunctious, but they never fight or squabble any more than that.

Brendon ; Brendon and Damini share vaguely similar personalities, though where they really bond are their scars: both stallions suffer from anxiety and paranoia, and together they're trying to overcome their issues. They find reassurance that the other completely understands what they're talking about. They can speak honestly to one another and feel safe doing so, knowing that jokes won't be made and that there would be no judgement. They can continue to wear their masks in front of the world, but with each other, they could let go and just spill their emotions honestly.
