Grady dislikes fall. There’s too many colors, and everything smells like mold. Call her a scrooge, but she just doesn’t like it. There’s always too many promotional offers as well, such as pumpkin spice everything. Everything. She much prefers winter, when the weather is truly cold and everything is covered by the pure, white snow. The whiteness is better than the reds and golds of the leaves. The leaves are another thing she dislikes. They’re always falling in front of her den, and they make a huge mess that’s impossible to clean up. Once they’re on the ground, they’re there for good. As soon as she has them cleaned up, fall is back again to ruin it all! The temperature during fall isn’t even cold enough to bundle up by the fire place and drink hot cocoa. It just doesn’t make sense to have a half winter. There’s hardly any holidays, and there’s not much to do during fall other than jump into those pesky leaves, which are moldy anyway. Fall attracts mold, and Grady is allergic to mold. Her nose runs and her eyes water, leaving her helpless to any fun activities. The best thing about fall is Halloween, but she’s even too old for that, sitting at home and handing out candy instead of going out and having fun in a costume. Yeah, Grady really dislikes fall. Like, really dislikes it. She can’t stand the moment summer is over and she’s forced to wait months for winter to come around. Sure, it’s only a few months of the year, but during these fall months, she’s miserable. Generally not a good Viscet to be around the day fall begins.
