What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

How does she handle her dad's blindness?: she's always been so supportive and helpful with her dad. She has always talk to him and explained what's going on around him because she knows that he can't see. She understands he sees the world differently than she does. She helps him going through the field and finding good spots to lay down and or be.

Again the early-morning sun was generous with its warmth. All the sounds dear to a horseman were around me - the snort of the horses as they cleared their throats, the gentle swish of their tails, the tinkle of irons as they flung the saddles over our backs - little sounds of no importance, but they stay in my mind forever because I never know when I could loose them.

Relationship with her Dads: she has a very solid relationship with both of her fathers. they've taught her many things,
such as being patient and understanding. despite this unwavering bond between them, she still feels the need to go out
and explore though. her fathers understand, and just like she would never stop her father, Benji, from going out and
doing things for himself, they do not stop her. her undying love for them is blindingly bright.
How does she handle her dad's blindness?: growing up, Sola learned quickly that her father Benji was different, his
eyes were as icy as they could get, and with every yell of "look!" from her growing up, she would be asked to describe
what it is she saw. there was a time where she had grown impatient with having to describe everything, but her other
father, Edward, saw to it rather quickly that he explain why it is important to adjust their lives for others and to learn
patience. through Benji's blindness, Sola learned to be selfless. having grown more, she has learned how to help her
father to the best of her abilities, and has no issue with her father's blindness - he is just like any other individual she
knows.
Extra: with Sola being one to go out in to the world, Sola has found the appearance of blue jays to be a calming thing.
their color reminds her of Benji's eyes, and she can't help but watch the birds until they fly away. Sola has also always
been oddly fascinated by the difference's in both her father's eyes. Edward's are as pitch black as a moonless night,
while Benji's are as blindingly blue as a cloudless sky on a sunny day.

Favorite bird: Cassie adores the Purple Martins that flit about her paddock. They're always so cheerful, and are no longer afraid of her, so they don't fly away when she comes over to watch them frolic.
Relationship with her Dads: Cassie is fairly distant from her dads as of recently. She has been growing up a lot, and feels, however unreasonably, that her fathers' don't want her to grow up. So, she has made a distinct effort to distance herself from them. She still loves both of them greatly, and would fight anyone who talks badly about them.
How does she handle her dad's blindness?: Cassie grew up with her father blind, so it is normal for her. She has only recently started realizing that some horses don't know, or understand, horses with blindness. She gets very angry when others make fun of him, and has repeatedly fought horses who insist on being rude about it after she has requested that they stop.
