Just missed. I attempted to jump on him again, with no luck. This guy was too fast, too smart. He pounced and I dodged to the left, barely avoiding the incoming claws.
Clayton was his name. Clayton Axel. He was my friend at one point, before all this happened. I was supposed to help him train for his wrestling match, but I got busy. So busy I forgot to warn him that I couldn't come. Big mistake on my part.
You didn't want to mess with Clayton. He had a bad temper and had a hard time controlling it. If he gets mad, he gets really mad. He won't hesitate to pick a fight with others, not at all. So when I got there, he was furious with me for "standing him up". I tried to explain that it wasn't like that, but he wasn't having it. I finally gave up trying to explain, sighed, and told him I was sorry. He looked up at me, his eyes full of what I can only assume to be rage. It scared me, but also made me angry. Angry that he was so made about me being busy.
"Sorry for what?" He asked, no, growled. At this point, I had had enough of this. So I said:
"Sorry that you're being such a baby about this." And that was a big mistake. He lunged at me, pinning me to the ground. He was a wrestler, so he easily overpowered me. But I wouldn't give in just yet.
I desperately clawed at him, and got him in the leg. He yelped while I got back up. If I was in my right mind I would have ran. He charged, and I was preparing to jump when he turned his side towards me. Confused, I froze, waiting to see what he would do. He rammed his side into me and I hit a tree, out of breath.
Our fight continues for a while, nothing to dramatic happening. He pushed, I clawed, he charged, I leaped. We both stopped, staring at each other, panting. I assumed the fight was over, so I turned around and headed home. I was so tired, I barely heard the sound of someone running behind me, I turned around, only to be met by a 2x4 in the face. I fell down and, before everything faded to black, heard him say:
"Thanks for helping me train." And I swear I could hear the smile in his voice. Then, nothing.
