Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient. Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off, which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

I thought i'd try one tonight while i'm off work and was kinda sitting around bored anyway

This guy's based on a golden watch (and its inner workings, studying how watches work has been an interest of mine this week) with touches of inspiration from a cheetah.
Steampunk-y is always a favorite theme of mine and I don't see it used often enough I demandeth more steampunk kalons

The earring he's wearing is a golden pocket watch as well! But that's entirely removable if you don't want it.

" Who are you? " 'tick... tock' i hear as i pass the spinning gears, walking down the corridor made of what i assume is bronze? fixing clocks has always been taught in my family, wether the kalon wants to know how to do it or not. my father taught me at a young age, and now i'm the only kalon in town that fixes clocks.
the big tower's clock has been damaged from a storm, and of course, the city phoned me and begged me to fix it. walking through the empty corridor was boring of course, but i was caught off guard by the bell ringing. i looked to the right corner of the wall and saw that a few gears have been dismantled and tossed around. that's an easy fix. i quickly got to work and finished as fast as i could, this tower was creepy and it was scary being there alone. picking up my wrench and toolbox i walked down the stairs and was greeted by the mayor, thanking me for fixing the clock. now it's time to go back to work and fix the other 47 customer's clocks...

『 Trudging through the old metal factory, looking for parts and pieces that are actually usable.
Most of it is just rust- or even if there wasn't rust, it isn't all that usable.
Mother said I wouldn't enjoy running around, building my own machines, but quite frankly I do.
Others say I'm crazy for doing these things, walking around in old factories that might collapse,
but that's the reason I go.
Builds up the adrenaline, Y'know?
Besides, these factories are my home, they help me earn my living.
For that I make small machines that can be wound up, like ballerinas, mice, rabbits, anything you can think of.
Kids love 'em and I love makin' them.
My shop is a small corner store, mainly smelling like those old book stores, and sometimes metal.
It's an old run-down place, but it works out.』

Ciscou is hard working and is very determined. although
he tends to be sick often as instead of taking care of himself
he will often work and work until he is
finished which often causes him to have messy hair and be
fairly dirty after a long day of working.. he works with tiny
little trinkets and such and so he has become very accurate
when doing things and has gained the patience of a saint.
he is also very creative and will make the craziest of
things in his free time. although since he does these
things all of the time he never seems to have time to be
social and gain relationships. although he desperately
wishes for a friend to hang out with. but having no
social skills can also kill your social life. he is also a
bit of a worry wort and assumes the worst immediately.

“With bags beneath the eyes, I weep for a better change in a living pattern. Day in and day out, the ticking of the everlasting clock counts down the mere moments of bare daylight left within the northern hemisphere of the Earth.”

The lonesome kalon leaned back in their chair, sighing a rather heavy sigh while throwing their only writing utensil upon the ground. It seemed as if the world around him slowed to the beating of their own heart. The lamplight illuminating from the desk nearly flickered for what was only a second, but it felt like eternity. Byron glared towards the few pages left upon his desk, blank from lack of inspiration and weeks of neglect. The fire of creation that once burned brightly within his mind had slowly began to dim as time progressed.
Project, after project ending in complete failure, Byron was beginning to lose not only his job as an author, but his sanity as well. The kalon brought his slim paw to his face, starting to rub his temples in a circular motion in order to tame the frustration within.
“Oh what’s the point anymore?” He said in defeat. He ran his claws through his hair. “Was I really meant for this job” He pondered in the silence, having the silent ticks being the only source of accompaniment to his thoughts. He closed his eyes taking in the surroundings trying to take his mind elsewhere yet the ticking disturbed him. tick tock. Once again, nothing. In a fit of anger he rose to his feet, sliding an arm across the table, knocking off all its contents. As he left the room, the ink from the bottle slowly began to drip one by one mimicking the agonizing sound of time. drip drop tick tock tick…
