monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.
their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another kalon from afar. This
association with other kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

This one was inspired by green slime and grossness with a twist of something lovely.

kalon's favorite thing to do when it's too hot to go outside? Pretend the floor is lava of course! Who doesn't like jumping around on furniture? Or even better, with a friend! Especially if goals are involved, or a race. Racing is the best, especially pushing people over to get to the end >:) But gloating over the fact you have more points than the other person is fun too!

how does Viridan beat the heat?
Viridian doesn't beat the heat, he joins it! The humid
temperatures create a thick fog in his homely forest
bog. He goes right out in the heat, and sets up a lawn
chair, pulled into sleep by the sounds of birds and
cicadas. He's almost immune to heat! On the hottest
day of the year, he could be in his kitchen, cracking
open the oven to peer in on his mouth-watering cake,
or a dozen muffins.

If sleep didn't catch him outside, than a book would.
Viridian isn't the brightest bulb, so he's often confused
or just doesn't understand what he's reading. He
annotates in the small inch of room he has on the
sides, and uses it to write down what he doesn't know.

His passion for baking and reading don't always fill up
his day, so when he reaches his peak state of boredom,
and grabs a hook and fishing pole, and goes out to cast
a line. Not to far from his house, within the woods,
there is a small lake that is home to the greatest fish.
Vines dangle from trees, frogs hop off rocks into the
bath-like pool. Viridian stretches out his legs, then
casts a line. He hopes the strongest fish will choose to
pick a fight with him.

Ice, ice baby.

It's never too hot to go outside when he's working. Aloe doesn't have your normal summer job. He is an iceberg tracker. He loves getting away from the heat and mosquitoes of his Louisiana home and heading up north where it's cooler. Aloe enjoys sitting outside on his ship without getting bitten like no tomorrow by the bugs. Whenever he meets new people, they are always shocked by his job. Aloe receives remarks such as "That's not an important job" or "Icebergs don't need tracking" often. But traveling boats need people like him so they don't crash into icebergs. Aloe is always sad when fall rolls around and has to go back home. To him, nothing beats being out in the salty, cold air.
