Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

y he's grumpy is because of his mother
who always calls him about something.
as much as he dislikes when his mothe
r calls, he has to help out anyway.

Merrill is a fisherman, has been his entire life; and he lives in a coastal town where
everyone knows each other and the market is just his neighbours trading their goods.
He was born there, inherited his fishing pole from his father when he was a boy there;
but that's been some years ago and now Merrill's face is weathered, his hair whipped
soft by the ocean's scraped salt, his hands roughened by a fisherman's work. He is
well-known in town for he has a knack for catching the best fish; but recently the
children have started calling him "the old man of the sea", and Merrill is not particularly
fond of it. He doesn't consider himself old just yet, and the kids say it with humor,
not respect; so he's liable to grouch at any child who thinks to call him that and correct
them with his name.

Cania's friends have constantly for the past few weeks had been very nasty to her and constantly disrespecting her opinion.
