how does this Viscet react to being alone? (500 words)Soren is nearly always alone, yet with the cool caress of moonlight surrounding him, he never feels lonely.xxxFrom the moment Soren hatched from his dark egg, he was in pain. Bright sunlight assaulted his newborn eyes and he wailed until his mother hovered over him, casting a shadow. It didn’t take long for his parents to figure out that he had very sensitive eyes that couldn’t withstand sunlight, so with few other options, they decided they would have to start sleeping by day and awakening at night. For Soren this came naturally, but his parents couldn’t see in the dark as he could so they had to hunt and forage by day, and their relationships with the other Viscets in the area meant they were often out as he slept and abed by the time he became active. Though they loved him, they couldn’t take on his nighttime habits. Thus, Soren was usually alone. He didn't mind it however, for he loved the quiet solitude of the night and how the moon listened to all his worries with her kind complexion. He felt honored that his sparkling coat reflected the majesty of the stars and the joyful dance of the fireflies who surrounded him. Left to himself with little influence from others, he grew reflective and thoughtful, introspective in every sense of the word. He spent many nights exploring the hills and forest-covered valleys of his home, getting to know the land which he had never seen by day. On the rare occasion that he came across another of his kind, out past their normal waking hours, he hid, afraid of making some social blunder. After all, even with his own parents he was distant, and he had very little interaction with anyone else. He had no idea how he was supposed to act around other Viscets. Perhaps this would change as he grew older, but for now he was content with the moon and stars as his companions.
extras: (no more than 300 words for each extra and only two art pieces)xxxFrom the time he was very young, the written word fascinated Soren. While his parents slept, when he was not out enjoying nature by moonlight, he was reading. His family was not wealthy and had only a few books, but at his behest his parents saved up and gradually bought him more. He wanted them in part so that he could learn of the world outside his hills, but the greater reason was so that he could expand his vocabulary. The splendor of the night and the pale light of the shining moon filled Soren with wondrous emotions which he desperately wanted a way to describe. There were words within him; poems just beneath the surface like a many-petaled bud waiting to bloom. The stars in his fur spoke of greatness; the golden shining of his eyes revealed an age far beyond his own few years.
Starchild, the moon said unto him, let the words flow like clear crystal through your mind, for you are the one who will write of my beauty in such a way that even those who walk by the sun will feel they are one with the night.
