Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

if you have 10 or less kals, you may try out for both by yourself,

the contest itself is simple, although there are a couple twists -
I would like to know about their relationship!

here's the twist;
we all know that not every relationship is perfect, and that
imperfection is exactly what I want you to focus on; to win
these kiddos I want you to tell me;

1. what faults their relationship has, and
2. how they make it work (or how they don't)


keep in mind that they can have any relationship you want
them to (although they cannot be blood related)

personality ;; Lanakila is noticeably headstrong and basically a leader-type in general. She doesn't realize her own strengths, but rather the faults. Somehow, ever since she was a small kit, Lana knew that her Kanoa was out there somewhere. Later they both moved to the mental hospital where her childhood was taken place at. So for years, Lanakila became Kanoa's protector; the two saw eye-to-eye aside it all. Despite that though, they didn't really... Think of the world alike, based on their own experiences. Lana thought of it as a scale- one would be at the top, one would be on the bottom, and everyone should strive to beat the top. No one had the same score- it's either you're better or worse. Most despised her thinking of the world, and that it's free. Nothing can be truly free because there's always a catch or a restraint against it, no matter the outcome. A strong personality is, in all honesty, what everyone around her would describe Lana as. Things never can truly be even, and things can never be free. (179///200)

how it works ;; Over the years, chance has been a big part of Lanakila and Kanoa's life. Decisions they made, and some others have, became how they interact every day. Through it all, past the mishaps and misunderstandings, the two have held themselves together. It's astonishing- the way their relationship works like glue. If they separate, they'll fall apart. Of course, they're both reserved in their own personal ways, but somehow, one knows how the other is feeling almost instantaneously. Although the world has adapted to new and diverse customs of it's own, Kan and Lana's 'friendship' will never be forgotten. Even after they're gone, the duo won't ever be forgotten, and will remain as a simple reminiscence to all who know, for the remaining of time. (124///200)

- lanakila used to play ukulele with kanoa, since her family was known for having a musical taste. despite coming off as someone who is fairly well known for being aggressive, lana knows her elvis songs. don't tell anyone, but she is making a song called 'the free one' for kanoa.

the color green has always been a favorite of lanakila's. oddly enough, she doesn't find it to be a 'oh-so-pretty-nature' color, but more of a shade to 'strike fear into the hearts and minds of her enemies'. [ she actually just finds it pretty. ]

for some strange reason, lana loves grass. the feeling, the remedy and the vibe when she sits down on the grass with her best friend, soaking up dewdrops and pointing out the shapes of the clouds. then again it gets their clothes wet.

no, lana doesn't hate the ocean. she actually loves going there with kanoa, but getting wet in general- with let's say a sprinkler or maybe a hose- will tick her off to a raging point.

she usually tends to stray from the topic when it's mentioned. lanakila believes that having a discussion over politics on two different sides is impolite and despisable.

this kalon has done nothing to her but has done everything at the same time. they go to the hospital sometimes to meet with a therapist. aki has tried to talk to lanakila before about the ocean, but my gosh, this jealous girl wants to be his friend so badly but she knows she can't show a weak spot. [ no, she doesn't have a crush on aki, just wants to be their friend c: ]
