Astra

Meaning behind the name Astra: Astra comes from the word astronomy. Astronomy is the study of any celestial body, space, and the physical universe as a whole.
Gender: Female
Where they'd rather be: Gazing at the sunset and moonrise out in a peaceful meadow. The meadow is surrounded by a large forest on all sides.
What they find interesting about a particular kalon: They find Regan quite interesting. The things that Astra finds interesting are that she thinks Regan looks like a cat in her opinion, the rainbow paw marking, and also the small clock on Regan's paw. Also the name Regan reminds Astra of something, but cannot remember it so that is also interesting. So thats why she finds Regan quite interesting.

Name and meaning:
Nisshoku, Nisshoku means SolarEclipse in japanese. I picked this name
rather than Hoshi, star or any of those other common names because it
is associated with space and the moon.

Nisshoku was given their name late because their parents and tribe named
newborns after events that have a huge impact on their attitudes, actions
and thoughts. Solar eclipses and meteor showers are good omens in their
tribe while shooting stars and lunar eclipses are considered unlucky omens.
The newborns are not named until a eclipse, shooting star or meteor shower
occurs,no name is the same. Some names have japanese origin while others
are from other cultures. Their unique names show they all are their own
people, they have individuality and it hasn't been stripped away.

Nisshoku was born 2 days before a solar eclipse, young ones can be considered
blessed or cursed depending on which events they live through no matter their
age. Solar eclipses are considered good luck because the tribe worships the moon.

Where they'd rather be:
Nisshoku would rather be with her tribe making up stories to tell the young children,
they are a great story teller and want to be an aspiring author. She is inspired by her
tribe's location and the people other than her her self whom live there. They would not
want to be any where else because they easily get panic attacks around strangers, are
uncomfortable being alone and they dislike the outside world. Nisshoku is a hermit so
she would rather be home with family than go out.

What they find interesting about a particular kalon:
Cayo
NIsshoku is interested by Cayo because they are independant and very supportive.
Other than their coolorful personality, Cayo is very beautiful, their color scheme
is very intriquite.

Rhea
Rhea is one of Saturn's moons. She fell out of the carriage that she was in, and a gang of young kalons decided that she was a good enough member to join them. So they lived in the woods as a family, and looked after each other. One clear, crisp night she looked up at the sky and saw Saturn. She asked what the planet was, and the smartest said that it had a bunch of moons. From then on, she was called Rhea.

Floating in Space
Rhea always wants to be in a rocket ship, studying the planets and learning new facts. Her eyes have a faraway look, like she is never in the present time. She is always daydreaming about flying in a rocket ship, and pretends to be in one.
Audeline
Rhea is very different from Audeline, but in a way they are alike. They both are great thinkers, with crazy ideas that actually work. Once, Audeline was walking across the street when Rhea was hunting for the gang. They stared at each other for a long time, then smiled. Why? Well, I have no idea. They seemed to have a connection, and they always met each other at the same place.

name and meaning: her name is astra. her parents wanted the perfect name for her, and had a really hard time coming up with one. they weren't quite sure what it meant, but they knew it sounded pretty and had to do with the stars. astra really loves her name an everything about it. it's short. it's cute. and it matches her so well. she wouldn't change it if she could.

where they'd rather be: astra loves to go for walks at night. i know it sounds a bit creepy, but it's what she loves. she loves the way the stars glitter when it's dark. she especially loves matching constellations.
what they find interesting about a particular kalon: kahina ( don't have a kalon of my own yet ;u; ) why does astra love kahina? maybe it's because of how unique and scarred yet beautiful she is. maybe it's because of her outgoing personality. maybe it's just because when astra looks at her she gets butterflies in her stomach and she loves that. one day, she hopes, kahina will love her back.

Name and meaning: austere
the waves washed up on the shore, the sand's beautiful marks disappeared,
and there they sat, in the ocean, being engulfed by the shimmering water,
alone. alone for all their life.
but they came. the others. they came and talked of concepts unknown by
this solemn kalon. the foreigners, the smart ones, the lone one could hard
ly understand.
and then, only then- was austere named. named by foreigners, by the un-
known, named after an imaginary dream. [ 78/100 ]

it seems nonsensical to ask.
austere would rather be alone. alone, free, and inside a dream. they'd ra-
ther be part of something else that isn't the world, something that is
amazing and unimaginably beautiful- a starry, cloudy, dream.

What they find interesting about a particular kalon: as the tree
branches and bushes rustled and a strange other kalon seemed to emerge
from the deep forest into the sunlit clearing, austere leaped down from
their treehouse and slowly walked up to the younger being. the other kalon
took qite a bit to notice austere, but once he did he seemed to shake with
nervousness.
"oh, i.."
"it's strange," austere said, "and quite interesting.. how you'd come here..
yes, quite curious!"
"i should.... leave." the stranger said, and pounced away.
well, quite interesting the little kalon was; to austere, at least. [ 93/100 ]
