Our second equine for this mini-event is based on the planet Kashyyyk, most famous for being the homeworld of the Wookies.

Primarily covered in forests and swamps Kashyyyk is renowned for being a planet with high biodiversity, although it can be deadly to outsiders. It was conquered a few times prior to the Clone Wars, such as during the New Sith Wars in 1,003 BBY, but managed to remain neutral as the war broke out. However after an impatient move by General Grievious left the son of King Grakchawwaa dead the Wookie leader chose to side with the Galactic Republic as an act of revenge. Because of this the CIS launched a full-scale invasion which the Republic responded to by sending Jedi Master Yoda and the 41st Elite Corps to assist the natives. Order 66 was issued by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine (soon to become Emperor Palpatine) and Commander Gree of the 41st attempted to excute his former Jedi comrade. However Yoda was able to sense the clone's intentions and killed him, managing to flee the planet with the assistance of the Wookies. Following the rise of the Galactic Empire the inhabitants of Kashyyyk found themselves placed under martial law and, like most alien species, were treated poorly. Many Wookies were either placed under strict curfews or taken from their homes and forced into slavery, often working in dangerous and laborious sectors due to their renowned strength. Rebels often hid out on the planet due to it's terrain, but Darth Vader was always swift in his attempts to force them out of hiding. When the Empire finally collapsed Kashyyyk, despite experience another small invasion from the remnants of the Empire, was liberated and offered another place in the New Galactic Republic.

As you have may have guessed this hairy fella is based off the Wookies found on Kashyyyk. His darker chestnut coat, with paler shades of brown mixed into his coat, are similar to that of the fan favourite Wookie Chewbacca.
