So, what are these things?
"Half-Light Hunters" are a sentient feline species about the size of an ocelot. They have a couple of very distinct traits, the main one being bioluminescent fur. Certain spots on their coat will glow in the moonlight - only the moonlight brings out these hidden markings. They seem closely tied to the moon in general, becoming sluggish and grumpy at a new moon, and having loads of energy when it is full. Future owners should be aware of this!

henry is very much so, calm, wise and creative. he tells stories to other half-light hunters.. as basically his life. (more in to that later) henry has a great imagination and often, when he sees an object, he thinks of a story to go with it. henry loves to make the other half-light hunters laugh, or feel really any kind of "good emotion". he feels the most comfortable when they're laying around the fire at night, their moonblazes glowing, while he's telling a story.

well, as you know, henry is a storyteller. he most often collects random items to put on his string(s), but i'll tell you what he has on his strings right now:

a majority of blue feathers, he told the story of a blue pheonix that wanted henry to share it's story so it gave him it's feathers
a blue gem and a green gem, to tell the story of how he got his eye color
a scrap of fox fur to tell the fearsome battle the half-light hunters had between a large group of foxes who had invaded their territory
a peice of paper that looks like a scroll henry got from the human world with a panther printed on it. this was to tell about how there was once a brave half-light hunter who ventured to the human world. he was given a scroll by a human and he took it as a prophecy.

as you know, henry loves to tell stories. he loves seeing the other half-light hunters' smiles, their moonblazes glow, and their eyes light up as he gets to a specific part of the story. but, where did he learn to tell stories? where did his inspiration come from? well, i'll tell you the story now.
henry was born. that's about all he remembers about his pre-kit stage. he doesn't remember anything about his mother and father and knows he doesn't have any littermates.
at a young age, he'd sneak in to caves and collect random cool items. he'd also see.. "strange" markings on the walls of these caves. he eventually learned to read them. they'd tell stories of prophecies and strange creatures, about new technology- basically everything. this is where he got his inspiration. he realized, "i could tell the stories of these markings to people who can't read them!" he started collecting everything from animal fur to dirt samples to just random rocks. then he set out to find where other half-light hunters gathered. around this time, he was about one year old.
he finally found the place where they gathered and cautiously asked who was hosting this gathering. he finally found them, and asked if he could tell one of his stories. at that point, also, he only had one string to put a specific item on, so it was a bit difficult to maintain a story that just revolved around that one item.
but he did it.
laughs and cries burst from the audience as he told his desolate tale. yowls of approval dawned upon him when he had finished. every day since then he had collected more items and more strings, each time telling a different story. half-light hunters continue to love his stories. they're all so unique and creative.

Jay is sarcastic and smart. He likes others, but doesn't show it much. He has a good sense of humor and is very athletic. His strongest attributes are speed and agility.
Jay has slight anger issues, but never expresses it. He never expresses anything, really. Sadness, anger, frustration... just sarcasm and happiness.
Besides that, he is very kind to his friends and loves to joke around. Competition is almost always in his mind. In a fun way, that is. All of Jay's friends would say that he's quiet and doesn't share his emotions well, but if he is found by the right cat at the right time, he will let everything out. Inside, he is extremely self-conscious and sensitive. That's exactly why he hides his emotions.

Jay is usually a social outcast. not only is he secretive, but he has a few weird habits. The first, and probably most annoying, is when he's embarrassed or lying, he scrapes the ground with unsheathed claws. This can be a problem. With secrets comes lies... Another weird habit of Jay's is when he flinches when he's surprised, sometimes not even that. The reason for this is because when he was a kit, he was always being hit by things, or attacked by larger animals. This is also how he learned to defend himself.

Jay has a few hobbies, such as watching birds instead of eating them. He appreciates their beauty and gracefulness, wishing that he could fly. He often climbs into tall trees and sleeps there so he can watch the birds come and go. He has never, not even once, eaten or harmed a bird. His strange obsession and respect for them is due to him being saved by one once. When Jay was just a kit, he loved to explore. Well, being a curious little sprite, he found a large, hot, black path. He stepped towards it, but suddenly, the ground began to tremble. a quiet roar began to get louder and louder. The cause of this noise was a huge, shiny creature with black paws. As it came closer, Jay knew he would surely be crushed by it. Until a large bird swooped by. The creature swerved to avoid the bird. thud. Despite the creature's efforts, the bird went flying the other way. As Jay watched, terrified, the beautiful bird fell limply to the edge of the road. Jay padded towards the deformed feathery figure, realizing that he was only alive because of it.

Jay puts feathers and small animal teeth/claws/bones on the strings. The feathers are usually blue-ish, resembling different types ofJay birds' feathers. The bones are mostly claws of birds and squirrels. He's also found a crystal once, a small, shiny piece that he put on one of the neck strings.

This cat is amazing and if I get him,I Will most likely draw him and use him as an oc <3 Great job at making him! I don't mean to seem... Idk... selfish? But I really really hope I win this cat. The more I think about it, the more attached I become. I should probably explain why, huh? This cat reminds me of a cat i used to have. His name was Ace. He was a grey and white tabby with blue eyes. When he was 3 years old, his back legs became paralyzed. We took him out for a walk (by holding his back legs up). When we got back, he curled up and fell asleep. Sadly, I realized that he would probably never wake up again... Anyway, Jay would probably be one of my main oc's. I love half light hunters and I haven't won any yet!

Thea first collected the string around her back right paw, and after a few days of decisions, she attached a few teeth from small prey she had killed, along with some beads to it. When she collected the string around her tail, she put on a mixture of colourful crystals, and pretty blue and brown feathers onto the string. She loved it so much, she did it again with the string around her neck.

Thea loves to hunt, and she's great at it too. She lives with her brother Calor. They get on well most of the time, but she does have some secret places to go to when they do fight. On the day of the full moon, Thea and Calor will go on their biggest hunt of the moon cycle. They gather enough food so that they don't have to hunt for the first part of the cycle, when they are most tired. Thea sleeps in a den that was dug into the side of a hill area. There is a dip down and a river runs through the center. They are shielded from predators as thorn bushes grow around the outside, and they have a plenty supply of fish and water through the river, which means they could survive for a while without having to leave the safety of their home. She loves to swim around in the river, and splash her brother (who hates water). For some reason, she loves water more than anything else. She just feels calm, safe and happy when she's in or around it. She doesn't know many other cats otehr than her brother, but she loves to see other animals like deer and horses when they pass nearby.

I love Thea for many reasons. I love the overall design, you did an amazing job on this one, and the heterochromic eyes are just stunning. The color and marking of the moonblaze are really pretty as well. I love the idea that she collects string and stuff to put on string, and it was just a really good idea in general. She is an a amazing cat and whoever wins her is a really lucky person. Thank you for making her <3

Orion is a very laid back, keep to himself, go with the flow type of boy. He can put up with nearly anything that life throws at him, and tends to keep himself out of the way. Whistle is a quite and free spirited cat with a call for adventure, often following the wind to find things. A lot of other hunters call him "Windy" instead of Whistle due to his nature to follow it.

Whistle can not see out of his right/blue eye right, though he can see light ect, he can not make out most colours, only bright ones and his sight s slightly blurred. This hardly stops him from exploring though.
