why does he hate Halloween; he hates holloween becuase he thinks that he thinks that its just plain stupid. around holloween he acts like a complete jerk and likes to show people how nothing is scary. ruining peoples fun is his favorite thing to do, so on hollowwen he goes around tearing down all the holloween decorations dressed in one of these so people cant see who he is. when people come to his house for candy he throws fire crackers at them while he hides up in trees.

why does he hate Halloween; He likes to pretend that he's 'different' and 'badass' by hating halloween so people think he's cool, but in reality, he's too frightened to even step outside. He's easily scared and always has been, and little children dressing up as terrifying monstrosities and horror movie marathons on TV all month definitely do not help him at all.

Gwyn claims that he hates Hallowe'en because it's a sham, a way for companies to make easy money from sweets and detections so bad that it's no wonder they're only popular once a year. However, his earliest memories of Hallowe'en are darker than he dares to admit. He up in one of the poor settlements that had sprung up close to the diamond mines in Republic of 'Independent Creatures'. In truth, most of the village's inhabitants, including Gwyn's parents, were workers who slaved in for gruelling hours to earn the bare minimum needing to survive. Nobody trick-or-treated when Hallowe'en came around but the holiday still had its own traditions- some of them unpleasant. Bonfires were heaped with all manner of rubbish, but the most dangerous Hallowe'en rituals were those upheld by a group of thuggish adolescents. They would run around throwing illegal fireworks at anyone unfortunate enough to be out at night. Every year, people would be burned, often seriously, because of these malicious Hallowe'en 'celebrations'. Gwyn himself was fortunate enough to escape injury and, in time, he worked his way out of the village. However, the memories of those Hallowe'ens have never left him, and every time he hears a firework, he cannot help but shudder.
